Looking back on St. Patrick's Day

Today I'm looking back at a spread I created for my 7 Continents altered book a few years ago.

I'm busy creating art and trying to beat a deadline, so I thought it was appropriate to share this since some may have never seen it.

Ah, my namesake is on the detail above.  I swear I can't draw anything, but someone showed me how to make shamrocks out of four hearts, so I cut and sewed four hearts, along with a curved stem, and called it a shamrock!

So it truly was the luck of the Irish.

Whether you are Irish or not, it's a great time to put on some green (I'm wearing a green nightgown), have green eggs and ham, toss around a bit of blarney, and celebrate with the Leprechauns.  And while you're at it, thanks for visiting.  This is no blarney.  I'll be by to visit once my project is complete because your visits mean the world to me.

Love your hearty shamrock, and perhaps I will find some leprechauns to play with at Boot camp today - the trainers all wear green there! Have a happy day, hugs, Valerie

Love your shamrock! I 'get' the deadline thing! Much as I love everything naturally green I have just realised that I don't wear many green clothes! Have a great day! Hugs, Chrisx

Top of the Morning to you! And Happy St. Patrick's Day Elizabeth. Love seeing the piece. I am glad you decided to share it again. It has a great distressed look, and I love the little stitch details. They make it richer. Enjoy your green today! Hugs- Erika

Like this and had not seen it before. I'm not Irish but will be wearing my green hat when I go walking this morning.

Send me some leprechauns (~learned a new word) they could do my homework!!!
I am just tired since two days and have no power for doing much here.

You have a lucky shamrock.
A four leaved clover is a very lucky to find. I think clover is a relative of the shamrock So I send you good luck wishes today. This is a wonderful page.
