Winter whites

I'm joining Art Journal Journey where our host Chrissie of Jumbled Crafts chose Winter Wonderland as the theme for January.  I'm also joining Moo-Mania and More, whose theme this fortnight is "anything goes."

I created this spread in my "Altered, an AB" altered book.  It is a large book and doesn't fit on my scanner.

This is the left side, where I dry brushed white and off white acrylic paints onto computer generated text and pictures of free snowflakes I found on the internet.  I love how they looked like trees.

For the right side, I created a collage using the front of an old Christmas card and the inside of a gold envelope I tore apart.  I added a single postage stamp (U.S.) and some glitter to the snowflakes, although it doesn't show on the scanner.

One final look before I add this to the growing lists at Art Journal Journey and Moo-Mania and More.  Please join me at both places and check out the fabulous mixed media art these artists create.

And thanks so much for your continued support of my art.  It doesn't go unnoticed, that's for sure!

I love your Winter Whites spread! The snowflakes on both pages has made me wonder if the ice has gone yet? Still none here - just grey, 'although the sun did appear for a couple of hours yesterday! Just realised -you will be abed now! Have a great day when you do rise! Hugs, Chrisx

Hope everything is o.k. in Kansas - we got really nice snow here --- and no chaos on the roads -- really lovely winter wonderland.
Wishing you a good rest of the week my friend!

Beautiful page spread, love the pretty flowers, we used to call them Christmas roses and it reminds me of seeing them grow in my grandparents garden.
I have had a lovely catch up tonight reading your posts I missed this week.

Denise, I have NO idea if you will return to see this, but I am unable to leave comments on your blog. It says I must join G+ in order to leave you one. My apologies, because I don't normally leave comments to others on my blog. I fear, even though I know nothing about G+, it is the way you set up your blog comments, because I can reply to some G+ blogs, but not others.

Great use of the pretty greeting card and a lovely snowflake page too!
Hope you are warmed up.
I guess if you're playing with snowflakes and scanning your pages power is restored.
It sounded pretty bad in your last comment on my blog.
Happy beginning of the weekend.
