I originally planned this for Try it on Tuesday or TioT
after I found this silhouette (their fortnightly challenge this time) on a book jacket.
Then of course, I realized I was originally going to send the book jacket to my recycle bin, so I truly believe it qualifies for Moo-Mania and More or MM&M where I was able to use my scraps, including these appropriate words I've saved over time.
I created this in my Coll-AH-ge Too altered book. The background was another scrap I had left over from my feeble attempts at gelli printing. I framed the original image taken from a book jacket with a white gel pen, then a black Sharpie.
I hope teens truly ARE leading the way for other teens and acting as a support group against fear, bullying, internet rage, and harassment. If you know a teen or have a teen in your family, please encourage them with kind words and deeds, because they often hear way too many negative comments in their lives, and, unfortunately, usually from their peers.
Thank you for joining me at Moo-Mania and More and
Try it on Tuesday, where I still don't know how to display their logo without creating a separate title. BTW, I greatly appreciate the honor of being chosen
to be one of the Top 5 winners with my "Numbers in her head." That was such an honor because this was NOT a random number win, but one where members of their DT selected the winners. Again, I am truly honored. I've certainly not been honored with anything this significant art-wise before.

Love your new page for TIOT and MM&M, and it is so true that you young people should be leading the way into a better society. Thanks for joining us at both challenges. Congrats on being chosen at TIOT, you deserve it! Hugs, Valerie
Gorgeous altering! Love the silhouettes too. Thanks for playing along with us at TioT challenge.
What fun to see what you've done with this cover. I so agree it's important to let our teens know we care about them, & they do matter!!

Your numbers in her head piece was truly awesome and so worthy of being in the top 5--congrats!
Silhouettes are always fun for me because they require very little detail--your teens have attitude in a good way!
Have a great weekend
Your book cover turned out great E.
I am always drawn to silhouettes of every kind.
Every generation has something to offer.
It's good that there is a focus on anti bullying and kindness in general.
Young people can do lots of good work with those themes I'm sure.
Happy Friday

My teenager is very social with all the other teenies...
but profoundly antisocial with her parents!
I just must encourage her to be more social to me....hahah!
Great way to use things that would end up in the trash otherwise. The silhouettes are great on the purple background (my favorite color!) And congratulations on being one of the winners on the numbers challenge!
Wow! This really is fabulous -it makes a real impact both as a piece of art and a social comment - you are so right about encouraging young folk! Your win was so well deserved E!! Hugs, Chrisx
I will be tracking back later!!!
Very wise words to encourage the young folk. This silhouette cover for your book looks fantastic. Thank you for sharing this piece with us at TioT's Elizabeth and congratulations on your Top 5 win, it was a fabulous page.
