Lending a helping hand

Although I had been saving this image I fussy cut awhile back for another idea I had, I decided to use it for Try it on Tuesday's current silhouette challenge.

I carefully cleaned my scanner in anticipation of the silhouettes I was going to scan, then realized after I had it scanned and entered, I had actually caused more harm than good.  Seems I smeared the "goo" around, rather than removing it.

I used my favorite background technique for this: faux credit card swipe.  Although it's a simple spread, I spent a lot of time cutting it.  I call it "Lending a helping hand."

Thanks to everyone at Try it on Tuesday for this great challenge.  And thanks to each of you for visiting.  I'm truly grateful.

I like this a lot, as I have been thinking much about friendships lately and how one best supports a friend in need. For me, green is a colour I associate with pain, and you have a very interesting range of shade and texture here. Lovely.

A very nice background faux credit card swipe. Those silhouette's really pop against the background and a very apt title for this piece as well.

I really like this background. That green is my favorite color so it make me happy to see it. And I like the silhouette too. Hope you are having a nice Sunday-and winter storm Kayla isn't in your neighborhood. I had the weather channel on and it looked like you might have missed the worst of it- I'll keep my fingers crossed that I'm right about that. Hugs.

Faux credit card swipe is the best. I have taken to using my brayer roller too and my big gelli plate and slapping it down to fill a whole page at once. I did that to make my Christmas paper and it's kind of a stress reliever. Great for use with craft paints to give a good background. That might be a way for you to use your gelli plate and not get disappointed with it. Try it and let me know. We all need a helping hand don't we!!! xox

You page is very powerful E.
I appreciate all of the cutting that went into your silhouettes.
That is time consuming and you have to be careful not to snip off an arm or leg ;-)
Great background! That credit card swipe technique is a fun one.
