Ah Coll-AH-ge

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that Valerie was hosting this month's Art Journal Journey, which is collage.  So I grabbed a new book (well, actually an OLD book gifted me by my friend Sally) and prepped it for my latest altered book I call Coll-AH-ge Too.  Coll-AH-ge One is full, so it was time to devote another entire book to collage.

Since I'm used to creating my collages without words, Valerie's request for words on the page threw me for a loop.  She made a good point, though, since it IS supposed to be a journal page.

So I dug through my words and had two that fit.  I hunted and hunted, and finally found the words "paper bag" in the very book I was altering.  I give you "Elevate paper bag style."

Thanks for the visit.  It's so good to be on my own time schedule again, and I greatly appreciate you stopping by, even though it might be late (or early) in your world.  And of course, this is my first of hopefully many collage entries at Art Journal Journey this month.  Please join me, especially if you like collage.

Glad you like doing collage, and hope to see you getting lots done in your book this month. The words you have chosen fit very well, thanks for adding them! Your collage is really stylish. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

That's a wonderfully jolly collage, makes me want to get dressed for playtime, too! I made a lot of collage art some 15 years ago, making new images from the scraps of fashion magazines. Now my asthma no longer allows it, alas. Still, I can enjoy other people's work. :-D

First to yesterday's post which I missed- I was a little bit busy :

O.K. we have to respect that they didn't allow to make photos!
Maybe just because the sweaters were much to ugly to show public...lol.
Congrats on the win ... your sweater is really NOT ugly! Shame on you!
I am happy to hear you had a nice time there and super that you had pleasant road conditions during your trip.

And now to the collage page - I am looking forward to many pages in this new old book you are going to alter here.. The first collage is already a brilliant start ! The words fit the art brilliant - -Valerie did a good job to call for journaling- didn't she? Thank you ♥♥♥ Elizabeth!

Happy weekend to you!

What a fun collage! I don't recall hearing/seeing Coll-AH-ge One, but then I may just be having a "senior moment". I am actually working on one and plan to post it next week.

Have a good weekend and hope the weather is not too bad where you are!

Cute collage to start a new book with, reminds me of Twiggy.

I also read your ugly sweater post hmmmmmm, I can understand not wanting things post on social medias, but this was a little dramatic. BUT it was their party and their home and their wishes, so it was nice that you did as asked........even though the rest of us are disappointed.....LOL!! Her decorations sounded like a lot of fun was to be had.

Have a great weekend my friend.

Fun collage...love the images. It's funny that you don't tend to use words...I have a hard time not using them! That would be the bigger challenge for me. :)
