Journal 52, Week 46: Color Me (along with AJJ and MM&M) Crazy

I'd like to begin by saying my heart goes out to the people of Paris, France tonight.  These vicious attacks that killed at least 150 innocent people are horrendous and unforgivable. Let's also keep those who have lost loved ones, family, and friends to these attackers in our thoughts.

At Journal 52 Chelle had some exciting news for Week 46. It is a new Art Journalist community where we can join and upload our art.  I have decided I won't join, because this will be the final year I play.  I took a look around and it looked overwhelming already.  I'll finish the year, then say good bye to this fun experience I had for two years, especially since I'm not a much of a journaler.

But let's get to this week's prompt which is "Color Me Crazy."  According to Chelle:
for this week’s prompt, break out all of your favorite colors to make a page in your journal that is bright and bold!
Along with Journal 52, or Art Journalist,

I'm also joining Moo-Mania and More with a crown, as well as Art Journal Journey where I'm honoring their autumn theme.

I began by spritzing some of my handmade shimmering mists to the background.  While I was spritzing, I did the same to a strip of card stock, then wrote the title, which is Autumn's Crowning Glory.

I got a bit of the spritzed mists on the leaves,

and saturated the once neon yellow crown with autumn inspired colors.

One final look at this entry shows I once again forgot the week number before I scanned this piece that started with my used file folder.  I added silk leaves, handmade shimmering mists, my title using a brown Micron pen, and a felt crown.

Don't forget to visit Art Journal Journey to be inspired by their autumn theme, and Moo-Mania and More, whose theme is a crown.  And we can't forget Journal 52 or whatever name it will go by in the future.

It goes without saying this is Day 14 of Art Every Day month or AEDM and I created a page for Journal 52, and included Art Journal Journey's and Moo-Mania and More's challenges, too.

Thank you as always for visiting.  It means the world to me.

Ahh, you're always a flatterer with your comments on my blog Elizabeth. Let me get ya back. I love the color of this, great choice. I think I may have said that Fall is my very favorite time of year. I don't like it hot and although Spring is great, it rains A LOT and gets muddy. Fall with all it's leaves just rocks. The temp is perfect for walking around with a little sweater and no need for galoshes (usually, lol). Talk soon, eh?

Those autumn colours are gorgeous. Our own autumn is much bleaker this year, but in light of what is happening right now, it feels like nature is in sync with the mood of the world.

A wonderful colourful page for the Journal 52 prompt. I managed the first year, but this year am well behind.
So sad the new from Paris.

This is just stunning E!

I did join the new journal group, but don't know how much I will participate, since I didn't make it through this year.

The news about Paris broke my heart, as we watched the news last night. So much evil in the world today. So glad I have my art and blogland to escape to.

So sad about Paris....

I do love your journal page you created. Autumn is my favorite season, and I love the colors!

I'm curious how you made your handmade shimmering mists....?

I like the look you achieved in that background. Now that the wedding is over I'm looking forward to getting back into ATCs, and backgrounds are a challenge :)

My heart goes out to Paris. I've read the ISIS statement and grow more convinced that we aren't speaking the same language in more ways than one :(

You created a beautiful page, so seasonal in the beautiful autumn colors.

p.s. I got your comment on hubby's blog and have been trying to figure out why you are getting the 'loading/pause' screen that then apparently gets hung up. But I honestly do not know and I am really sorry about it.

Autumn, my favourite season, and favourite colours.

Love this page, I haven't used my sprays for a long time now. I wouldn't be surprised if they've evaporated!

This is a wonderful page to celebrate Autumn! The colours, especially on the crown, are brilliant! We only found out about the horrible events in Paris this morning -difficult to take in and makes me feel so sad for all who are affected by them in any way! We live in a strange World! Hugs Chrisx
