A few things I'm working on
This is another scheduled post because I'm with my friend Sally trying to get her garage cleaned enough so she can get her new car in it. I'm hoping it won't be long now.
I'm getting ready to "cook" a few more eco bundles on the stove while I'm at Sally's house. I'm actually doing this outside so the kitchen doesn't heat too much. The low heat I'll use will ensure the pot doesn't boil dry, either.
Last week I mentioned that I wanted to finish my Houses altered book. I hope to have a quick tutorial for backgrounds using these supplies, just as soon as I have a few minutes. Time has been at a premium here, so this had to be a quickie before joining my friend Sally in our quest to get her garage cleaned.
Supplies you can expect me to use (in case some of you who are not mixed media artists want to play along) will be used file folders, copier/printer paper, card stock (12" X 12"), sheet music, and book pages, to which I will add paint which I didn't have time to get in time to shoot this photo, and various stencils, many of which will be freebies and things you might already own.
By making these pages ahead, I won't have to use so much gesso on the book pages and the backgrounds will be ready to add to the pages. I hope these projects will pique your interest and you will join me later in the week for the tutorial.

'm curious to see how that eco bundle turns out, looks very intriguing, as do the supplies for your new projects. Have fun cleaning and clearing out with Sally, and take care of yourself. Hugs, Valerie
Cleaning garages is one my least favorite places to organize--LOL! Good luck to your girls.
I am getting your post emails again--tada! So I will be able to see your backgrounds. :)
Looking forward to your backgrounds Elizabeth! Good luck with the cleaning and clearing!

You are such a good friend to help Sally, and she must be a serious hoarder since I believe you have already taken loads of stuff out of her garage!
Looking forward to how your bundle turns out and the tutorials!
totally curious about the results of the eco bündle. i tried goldenrod last week, simmering for a while and soaking for a day, but that was too short, it turned out very light yellow. i think it is always part of the fun to wait for the outcome of the dyes.
Looking forward to this!! Chrisx
