ICADs for Days 6 through 12
Here are my latest ICADs. I know some of the people I have visited put mine to shame, but I decided before I began, I would spend no more than 30 minutes per card, not including scanning and posting (which, as many of you know, often takes even longer).
Allow me to remind those of you who have not seen my previous ICADs, I'm not using Tammy's prompts, instead adhering to my self imposed rule of the 5 Ss: stamping, sewing, staples, spray mists, and scraps.
Last week on Day 4, I showed this stamp that I applied over a security envelope. You could barely make it out, so I thought I would do it again, this time with a different background and sentiment.
I had a bit of fun with this one, when I found it in a trade magazine and cut it out. Sewing it left it bland, so I included a bit of stamping and writing.
This is the second attempt for Day 8. I had a lovely label I sewed over other labels, then LOST it. If I find it before the end of the challenge, I'll show it. This is one of my 1 staple entries. It is truly making me hungry for chocolate (and my desire to spell the word 'attempt' correctly the first time)!
This began life as a very old label that I painted with three colors, then punched out using my bird stamp. As I was assembling the birds, I had originally planned to put them on a tree. However, my drawing skills are not that talented, so I decided to put them on wires instead!
I took yet another two labels and colored them with various colors of craft paint. I then cut a length of stamped image and laid under the self-stick labels I cut into hearts. Next, I added the numbers, which were old VCR stickers, that denote the date.
I began with two spray mists and used my heat tool to quickly dry the IC. I stamped the butterflies in various positions using three different colors. Next, I added a few blades of tall grass.
For my final entry this week, I sewed and dyed. I found this old label that had originally been attached to a can of tuna. Since it was too large for the IC, I folded one "leg." I then cut a piece of dyed paper, along with another piece of dyed fabric (both dyed with Staz-On reinkers and 91% rubbing alcohol). I used my heat gun to aid with drying time.
I want everyone to know that since Tammy no longer offers links on her blog, and since I'm not on Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Tumblr, Pinterest, or any other social media site, this is the only place you will see my ICADs.
Thanks for joining me because I know it's harder when you have to visit people individually who have entries.

Great ICADs, Elizabeth, and good luck with the rest of the challenge!
Very nice, Elizabeth. I love seeing all the different techniques, and am enjoying your colors.
I don't think ANYone else's ICADs can put yours to shame Elizabeth. Your work is always interesting, always unique and always a pleasure to see.
My favourites here are the birds on wires, because it reminds me of Wee Man's birds in tree, (thanks for your comment) and the last one, because it is such a pretty colour :D
Have a great weekend :D
You are going strong Elizabeth...always true to yourself.
I like the fact that you can stick to your own rules... and it obviously works as you have managed to stay up with the challenge and make some lovely pieces! My favourite is the birds on a wire... oooh Leonard Cohen... a blast from the past indeed!
i think it is great how you manage this challenge without being on the social media (sometimes i think i should have participated, too...) - i really like all These results! favorite? no decision possible.
btw, any News about squiggles? are bluebeard and squiggles friends meanwhile or does each cat have his own territory? hope all is peaceful:)
happy Weekend, xox

Spending no more than 30 minutes is a good exercise too.
