Chelle also shared her reasoning behind her page this week, which is the very reason I have stayed with Journal 52, even though I am not really a journaler. Per Chelle:
This page this week definitely follows my motto of “process not product”And for that, I applaud you, my dear. You make this FUN, even though I often struggle to get it "right." At least you never make me feel bad because I don't have the proper products!!!
Following Chelle's reasoning, I could only think of one place I had been the previous week, and that was in BED. I now give you "Observations from my sick bed."
There's a lot more going on in this collage than in many of my previous entries. This week, I went all out and hand wrote everything I did. So let me step you through the page that was created with the help of a used file folder as the substrate.
The number 18 that is on both sides of the book on the night stand represent the week number. Now for my observations.
It's obvious Squiggles would play a part in my observations, because he was very demanding of my time and affection. Of course, there were times he actually had me laughing while I coughed and watched him throwing one of my slippers over his head. He has a thing for tossing items, usually into the water bowl, which thankfully was nowhere near my slippers.
My adorable Bleubeard was so good, never once causing me any trouble, and only snuggling with me when Squiggles was out of the room. Other than that, he laid quietly at my feet, or between my ankles.
There were days when I thought I would burn up, so I opted for a tepid bath, rather than a steamy shower.
It's fairly obvious that even though I was sick, I was going to have my coffee. However, there were times when I drank a mixture of honey and lemon to soothe my sore throat.
These were my observations from my sick bed. Note there was no computer time, and no art time. However, I hope you liked my interpretation of this week's prompt.
Materials used included black, green, and white pens, magazine images, and paint chip samples.
As always, thanks for visiting and leaving such heart felt comments. They have truly helped more than any of you will ever know.
