WOYWW 3-OH-OH!! (the one where she has a mess on her hands)

Let's all head over to Julia's at Stamping Ground, where you'll find the snoopiest deskers in and around the world.

What you see is a big mess on my work table.  I'm working on an altered book about Kings and Queens of Great Britain.  Unlike how I prefer to work in my altered books, this one MUST be created in order.  Right now, I'm getting ready to finish another page, then photograph these pages.

I know you really came to see the rocking horse, so there it is, all dusty and sitting guard over my Monet.

Up close and personal, I told you it was dusty.  I simply can't do much cleaning, much as I would like to, when my house is so cold.  I've managed to keep both bathrooms, the kitchen, the laundry room, my bedroom, and office relatively clean.  These are the rooms I am in the most, other than the craft room, which has a small heater.  And it's turned bitterly cold, blowing, and getting ready to snow again.  In fact, if I visit you in the wee hours of Wednesday my time, it's likely the snow will be falling.

Thanks for visiting, and I'll be by as I can this week.  If I don't get to you on Wednesday, I'll be by Friday at the latest.  But, please leave your # if coming from Julia's.

At least you have Bluebeard to snuggle with. We had rain over the weekend, but it has broken up here and turned nice today. Wish I could send you some sun shine.

Morning Elizabeth. Hope you find somewhere lovely and warm and snuggly to move around in today. Your desk isn't untidy and a mess - it looks very organised to me...
Take care. God bless.

All looks very organized ELizabeth and I wish that it will get much warmer soon in your area. Your houses there are not built for such temperatures ... can imagine how cold and uncomfortable it must be during such low temperatures.

Elizabeth, how lovely to see you on the desks again...I hope that you and Bleubeard are both well. I'm sorry to hear that you've been having such terrible snow and temps...we've been reading all about the terrible weather over here in the UK. I sincerely hope that this cold spell breaks soon for you...surely Spring must be around the corner?
I'm impressed that you can leave your basket of yarns on the floor. Isn't Bleubeard just the teeniest bit tempted to play?
interesting choice of topic for your altered book. Take a look at Horrible Histories Kings and Queens song on Youtube...it's brilliant for learning the succession of monarchs :-)

I have already corrected the 4 for a 6. It is a bit warmer here and I am so hopeful there will be no more snow this year. We only had one little bit, couple of inches, and one or two slightly icy early morning/late night times and it was enough for me :)

Looks like it is time to make a mess...
Have a Happy WOYWW day!

Our weather is turning nasty later today. Early today we are having thunderstorms and warm temps with cold moving in and ice and snow overnight. Winter is still with us here in the Southern US! I also don't heat my whole house so some days it is just tool cold here as well.

That altered book will be just wonderful- and while preparing pages in a specific order is not your usual approach, it's good to get a stretch now and again! Hope things warm up soon. It's March, so spring is coming.

Your book looks lovely! Sorry your house is so cold.. I've always wondered why in so many places that have a cold winter houses are built so they don't stay warm. I lived in the uk as a child, and remember freezing in the winter (and it was a new house) and then moving back to Finland into much older houses that have all been warm. Here's to three-ply windows and proper heaters! Hope that spring starts warming you up soon!

Ugh, being cold is no fun--but let me tell you, I'd love to flip through your book there, it looks fabulous! Must confess, I was looking more at your sewing machine this time, rather than your rocker.

The rocking is very cute and all, but oh my, that sewing machine cabinet is a beauty! Is the machine still in there Elizabeth?
I'm looking forward to seeing more of the book pages. You know more about the Kings & Queens of this country than I, lol.

Dust bunnies, yes I know them well dear E. :) And mixed in with a little kitty hair. Well actually a lot with a little dust is more accurate. Tehe Our FL weather decided to return to us today. Almost 90 so I'm sending some heat telepathy your way. Cool altered book you've got going there. Quite thick, were there that many kings/queens? Hugs to Bleubeard and Squiggles from the Girls. Oh, I'm so glad you like the Horrible Histories clips on YouTube! Our family thinks they're wonderful, we were avid watchers when the show was running on TV. And given that I majored in Archaeology at University, there's always something new to learn.....made better when it's funny! My son Rhys, who's hoping to read Ancient History at Uni this September, can still sing the kings and Queens song :-)

Thanks for visiting me yesterday.
I feel soooooo at home in your dust ;-) My desk is clean this week but trust me when I say it was so desperatly in need of the clean. Building work makes sooooooo much dust. I love the pages you're working on...I had a peep at the next post to see what you did with them.

Dust who cares about dust, it will still be there tomorrow, after all we can't create beautiful art and clean that is just ridiculous. That book is looking good, I do hope you get some warmth soon, it sounds horrible having snow storms.

I'm totally not bothered by the dust because my house is covered in it too. . .I'm allergic to the stuff and as long as it's sitting where it wants and not moving around, I'm just fine. Once I start getting it stirred up. . .then I pay for it with a whole lot of sneezing and misery. Here;s hoping it warms up for you soon!

Ohh poor you for having it so cold :( It is a amazingly cute rocking horse ;) I also think it is very interesting that you are working different than normal with the order in the kings and queens book, there might come something positive from doing something strange like that :)

Hi Elizabeth. The good thing about visiting WOYWW posts on Saturday is that I get to look at newer posts too! the book you are doing for your friend is very interesting - so much history. I can't imagine it being a secret since it's on your blog?

I know what you mean about being cold. We had a few weeks of record setting temperatures but today is nice and warm so I broke out my sandals to run to the grocery.

Oh, I also know what you mean about cleaning - although mine is more a lack of energy.

Happy belated WOYWW

Good job I did not do the Saturday afternoon workshop with Finnabair - I would have had to send it to you - it was a gorgeous picture frame with a Rocking Horse inisde.
Hugs, to you both - Neet xx

Very late visiting, so I do hope you have found somewhere warm. You still seem to manage to do some good craft, regardless of the cold.
Was thinking about you the other day when I noticed that one company has brought out a rocking horse die, if you are interested as it may only be available in UK, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Bless you
