For Week 15 at Claudine's Art Corner, I took a look at the supplies needed for this challenge and once again found myself lacking.
Altered playing card (2 prepped and ready to go)

Dylusions sprays (NOPE)
Embossing paste NOPE)
Prismacolor markers (NOPE)

Various rubber stamps (Nothing like Claudine has)
White Gelli Pen (Yep, won from Claudine's give-away)
Two out of nine isn't bad, especially since I'm counting the cards as one of the supplies. So I went back to my roots and did what I do best: collage. I apologize that I'm still very, very sick. Whatever I have is really kicking my behind. So taking step-out photos was the furthest thing from my mind as I just wanted to get these latest two cards in the completed column.
In a way, I followed a similar tact as Claudine, who went with black and white. I, on the other hand, went with midnight blue and basil green, alternating one for the background and the other for the embellishment.
For my stencil, I used my large hole punchinella (sequin waste). When the stenciling was in place, I realized the one on the left looked like a big bow on a package.
That's when my tribute to Boxing Day was born. I used ribbon I wrapped around a red "box." I even wrote my own sentiment, "Bring Boxing Day to the USA." You can tell how unsteady I was (and still am) when I wrote it.
For my second card, I began with midnight blue, thinned some of it a bit and allowed it to dry. I stenciled the basil green through the large hole punchinella and allowed it to dry, too. I really LIKE these two colors together. Next, I wanted a Christmas feel, so found a French Horn. I can't really say I "fussy cut" it, although I did the best I could under the circumstances. I outlined the sentiment with a bit of red ink for continuity of color between the two cards.One final look at my holiday inspired altered playing cards for week 15.Thanks as always for being so sweet with your comments. Sorry you are still not feeling good! These two are fabulous - love the french horn! Enjoying my Boxing Day catching up with blogs and trying to reduce the Christmas craft stuff before I put it away! I had forgotten that Boxing day was such a British thing although I suspect that there may be little difference in the fact that the reduction sales started today - not that I want to go!!! Am so impressed that you made these while you still feel very poorly Elizabeth, you have done an amazing job! As always inventive in your ArT showing we don't really need many supplies just to be more inventive.
Both are fantastic, you can see the huge bow beautifully and the french horn a stroke of brilliance.
