Another trip to Buenos Aires in my 7 Continents altered book (AB)
Today we're taking another trip to Buenos Aires in my 7 Continents altered book (AB). Other spreads featuring Buenos Aires can be found here and here. An altered book post on Argentina's Iguassu Falls can be seen here.
This is the front side of a two-sided Buenos Aires spread.
I must have had a brain freeze when printing out the city. After all, I am an Aries!
I felt so fortunate when I found two different photos of this street in two different travel magazines. I also found this Buenos Aires entry in an encyclopedia.
For side two, these images came from two different books, one of which was a geography book, the other an encyclopedia.
This photo came from the encyclopedia that was copyrighted 1930, and I was so happy when I found it in my stash.
Some may remember I showed this Plaza before, but I used modern pictures from a travel magazine. This photo and the background information came from a geography book copyrighted 1971.
I hope you enjoyed our final trip to Buenos Aires. We will soon move on to other parts of Argentina. Thanks for joining me on this journey.
For Day 14
of AEDM, we took another trip to Buenos Aires in my 7 Continents altered book (AB).

What a fab city - and what a great spread Elizabeth!
Lovely page from your altered book... which has reminded me... I need to get my altered book out and start on your weekly classes... it needs filling up!
Love 💜💜💜 your travel posts. The vontage post cards are so special aren't they. Bring so much history to the work. Aregentina is one place I would like to see...but for now, I will do so vicariously through you? xox
Welcome to my city! SO happy to have you visit me! :D
It is a very cool city, with lots of parks, museums and other interesting places to see, including those that you showed pictures of. :)
Thanks for bringing your friends along! :)
this will be a gorgeous altered book for sure! i never was there, but let alone the word "buenos aires" sounds like Magic to me...
Fab spread Elizabeth. Hugs from me. The Girls extend an invite to Bleubeard to come explore and play in all the boxes. They're having a blast bet he would too. :)
Your altered book reminds me of how neglected my Tea quote one has become. I will get back on track after the shows.
I really liked the mixture of old and new, black/white and color images!
Great pages. I think you have shown the book in the past but would enjoy seeing it again - closed up as a book. It must be getting fat.

You found just the right components for these pages. I like how you've treated the edges of the photos with color.
What a super exciting AB - to use it to travel around the world- never knew that is where the widest street was!
gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. Your arrangement is lovely... the backgrounds hum....
My daughter went to Argentina when she was in high school. I would love to go, also. Your book took me there!
Funny I thought I left a comment on this page... I love it! Again I have learned something - the widest street in the world! Love the green paint!
Now that is a wide street! I never knew that! Fabulous colours! Chris
