I wanted to share some clever words a friend sent me, since she knew I would like them. There are 20 words, but I'll share the first 10 this week, and the rest next Friday.
According to my friend:
Each of these gives a great description that comes in very handy when you need a fresh look at "common" words.
1. ARBITRATOR: A cook that
leaves Arby's to work at McDonald’s
2. AVOIDABLE: What a
bullfighter tries to do
3. BERNADETTE: The act of
torching a mortgage (that would have come in handy for Annie)
4. BURGLARIZE: What a crook
sees with
5. CONTROL: A short, ugly
inmate
6. COUNTERFEITERS: Workers who
put together kitchen cabinets
7. ECLIPSE: What an English
barber does for a living
8. EYEDROPPER: A clumsy
Ophthalmologist
9. HEROES: What a guy in a boat
does
10. LEFT BANK: What the robber
did when his bag was full of money
I hope these made you smile. Be sure to stop by Annie's to get your share of the upcoming weekend smiles, giggles, and few deep belly laughs.

Like the idea of the Control, that one made me laugh. Terry Pratchett uses a lot of similar words in his disc world novels, one of the many reasons they are so good. Reaching an impasse being one of the classic ones!

Those really made me laugh....how clever :-) I've really missed you my friend and it's sooooo good to have you back. Your September artwork has been really fab and what a lovely activity to take part in. I try to find time every day to made/do something creative but as you can imagine it's been sadly neglected over the last couple of weeks...and replaced with extra munchkin fun...wahoooooo. Thankfully Shell is now making a good recovery so the creative fun can return now.
have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Annie x

ECLIPSE! Ha Ha, loving the English accent here! Yep, made me smile alright. I wonder if the next 10 will contain any of the silly words we use at home or if indeed we've just stumbled over them and made them a family thing...!
O.k. this time am not able to understand this all ..but what I can understand makes me laugh!
Happy Saturday dear Elizabeth!
WOW what an awesome lot of definitions. Love them all so it would be hard to pick just one. Thanks for sharing. Vickie
Hi Elizabeth, these certainly made me chuckle, especially Bernadette :)Thanks for leaving your earlier comment - glad you enjoyed the photos. I so envy you still in shorts, etc., ... it's a mite too fresh for that here now, even when the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Love to Bleubeard from Bonnie. Elizabeth xx
