A few days ago I visited my friend Debbie's blog (Craftymoose Crafts), who clued me into this new challenge that started September 1.

For the first week, we are to prep our playing cards. Now being an altered artist, I have tons of playing cards, but most are only one or a few each that I've been gifted with. And their charm is the image(s) on the back we are, according to Claudine, supposed to cover with gesso. I wasn't sure I could even find a full set in my stash, but I wasn't about to buy anything, since this is my year to use up, not purchase anything.
Perhaps like Debbie inspired me, this will inspire you to alter a deck of playing cards, too. From what I can tell, there is no way to link each week, but you can join Facebook, which I'm still not willing to do. But please don't let that stop you.

Sounds like a fun challenge. Just what I need tho - another challenge! lol Will have to join tho. I love atcsforall swaps - apcs are fun.
Are your ears burning ELIZABETH? LOL! When I read the title, I told myself no way was I getting involved in another challenge of any kind...I mean really ... how many can one person do? RIGHT? So then I make the mistake of going ahead and reading your post and you guessed it right....I'm hooked. It's like I'm already doing a card a day for the Inspirational Quote Deck that I'm doing so what's 2 more little cards a week...RIGHT ! Lucky me Just happens to have a gallon size bag of card deck that I got at a garage sale for 50 cents. The decks are complete cause believe it or not I counted them all out while watching TV the next night. I Just knew they would come in handy :) So now I get to get them all prepped by Monday and I still have to do the Faces for 29 Faces in September. Tell me I'm not crazy !!!! Thanks for sharing though ...Gotta go get to work :)
I'm so glad you decided to join up. Since I have a pretty standard looking deck, I plan to cover the backs on mine. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with CB, this, blogging, commenting, making angels, and, and....
It's quite a challenge! I did Seth Apter's 52 card pickup workshop, and am still working on them a week later.
Hmmmm……..this quite tempting - I do get worried about deadlines though - silly really - it's why I dropped out of Craft barn - still hanging on in with the Dragons though!! Chrisx
