I started with one of my recycled file folders and TRIED to use some red pigment ink
using the Direct to Paper method. Instead, I got a nasty mess when the "pad" started disintegrating all over the file folder. As you can see, I've rubbed all the raised ink pad portion right off the base.
Thanks as always for visiting, because I'm not on Facebook or flickr.

At least the work came out fine:) I hate it when inkpads start disintegrating during my work.
When it happens I immediately add that branch of products to my blacklist.
I gave up on ink pads long ago... but it turned out well anyway... great pics of your museum tour below, I am a history sucker... and love anything old... and it brought smiles to my face... x
Hello my friend! How are you? It's been a while since I visit you. Love your mess. The outcome is wonderful!
I don't think I've ever had that happen with the ink pad - but as always yoou made the most of the situation and got a great piece out of it. Love that bright red!
I really like the the scratchy look to the background. What a pest that the pad disintegrated tho', but it 'died' a noble demise hehe. I'm impressed with your ABC stamp :D
Many thanks for your comment on my very late Q&L page. I'm glad that you like what I did, you are very sweet :D
Fun with letters, like the letter border too. xox
Well it turned out fab! Cool Abc stamp...and homemade too! Hugs from all us Girls. :)
You got good results even with the ink pad falling apart on you and the stencil along with your hand made alphabet stamp add nice interest too!

I like the finished piece, my favorite part is what you stamped with your hand made stamp.
