Happy Independence Day in my Altered Book
I've returned to my collage altered book to celebrate Independence Day. Unfortunately, I created the spread before I took any photos.
I used magazine images, real postage stamps, and stickers. But the fun part
was the background. You have heard me talk about Bingo Dabbers, well here is the one I used for the background on this spread. You can see the cost of this dabber, which is much cheaper than the dabbers created by a certain well known crafter and pusher of craft supplies. For those of you who are not from the US, this is slightly more than 1/2 dollar. In fact, it is about, or less than, 10% of the cost of dabbers sold in craft stores. Bingo dabbers can be found in most drug and department stores.
I interspersed stickers with
cancelled genuine US postage stamps.
Bleubeard and I signed our names,
then showed the spread one final time so you can celebrate our US Independence Day, too.
Granted, many of my visitors and followers live outside the US, but July 4th is the day we put our country's differences aside, shoot fireworks, have a bbq, spend time with friends and family, and honor our flag.
Thanks for visiting, and thanks for looking.

Love this collage layout! Bingo dabbers! Aren't you the clever one. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Very patriotic spread! Hope you have an enjoyable day and that the weather holds up for any outdoor plans you may have.
Love your patriotic layout and yes I have a few bingo daubers from ages ago too, they are fun on the pages but mine are more bolder colours. Give Bluebeard a tickle for me.
Hugs Eliza
Love it! The bingo dauber background is super smart.
This is a great spread Elizabeth - Happy Independence Day to you! If I wanted to find a bingo dauber I would go to a local dollar store - I think they are a dollar though...you got a really good deal there! I was not aware that anyone was selling "brand-name" versions of these. What next?
Happy Independence Day!... I didn't know that Bleubeard had such excellent handwriting.
Great use of the dabbers and your pages look great!
Hope you and Bleubeard had a nice 4th of July celebration and weekend!
