For Week 20 at Journal 52, Chelle's prompt was Book Inspiration. Since books and book pages are a big part of this blog, it was only fitting to do justice to this prompt.
I began by cutting 12 squares of various dictionary pages.
I assembled them in varying directions, then colored them with acrylic paint to represent sky and grass.
I painted, then cut a few flowers from other dictionary pages, then outlined them with a contrasting color.
After everything was dry, I added coordinating buttons to the flowers,
and added the number 20 to the hearts to represent the 20th prompt.
I left the stems plain
because I didn't want them blending into the background.
One more overall photo and this prompt is complete!
Thanks as always for visiting, because this is the only place you will see how I was inspired by book pages this week.

Great how you layered "dictionary over dictionary". Those are terrific buttons too.

Nice! Nice! I think I am too far behind to ever catch up now. I love seeing what you make, though. :)
Nice job Elizabeth!!!! That is fantastic... I love the button centers... I'm with Rita on probably never catching up but I'll give it a half heart-ed attempt at least.
Nicely done, Elizabeth! Love the wiggly stems on the pretty flowers.
Really love this page, Elizabeth, it works perfectly. Have a good Sunday.
Elizabeth, what a fun page to create, I love it especially the colours. Give Bluebeard a tickle.
Hugs Eliza
My pleasure.... I am such a lazy crafter that I still had addie's from last year and just popped the ATC in the post. Have a lovely week.

Great page, Elizabeth!!!
i like your arrangement. and those buttons! so sweet!
WOW, Elizabeth, GREAT Journal page and a wonderful take on the prompt.
I just now posted week 19, too much BBQ business at hand this past week.
Not too worry, we are north of the fires by quite a ways, but do have family and friends we are worried about, but so far so good. One of our very close friends had to evacuate TWICE, but he and his family are safe, and their home is still intact.
Oh my goodness, Elizabeth! I just love your journal page, so much! the colors and design look amazing. I absolutely love your take on the prompt - so cool and creative!!
The buttons really make the flowers! Very creative way of using the dictionary pages, too.
Hello Elizabeth!! Happy Sunday!! I LOVE LOVE this page so much!! They are so pretty and happy!! I too love book paper as you know. I've been working on my flower ATCs today and almost used book paper but changed my mind since I did those before.
I do have a surprise post up right now, YIPPEEE!! I hope you like it!!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I'll see you on Tuesday! HUGS!
Wow you are up to date. Very interesting page for this topic.
Book pages used as collage are something I can't get enough of! Each page gives such a unique look to the objects.
That looks good enough to EAT-- though I know it is not candy, it is so yummy looking. You know how many of those 52 Journal prompts I've done. One. The first one. I just can't do prompts. O I try and I try but I rebel. It's just a weird trait that I have finally come to terms with and just go on.
Have a lovely day E.
Peace~

Hello, thanks a lot for your nice comment on my last Craft Barn entry. Please don't feel bad if you don't have the time to comment on entries. I know how life gets in the way. However I had a look around your blog and found this fab page and checked out the Journal 52 blog and decided to join in, even though they are already at week 20. Try to catch up :)
