T while cuTTing fabric

Once again it's time for T Stands For Tuesday.  Not sure what it's about?  It's about any drink you wish, any story you want to tell, or any art project you want to show, as long as there's a cup, mug, empty glass, bottle, or anything drink related in the photo.  Don't have a drink handy?  Come up with some way to tie the post in with T on Tuesday.  That's half the fun.  So, won't you join us? And remember, you don't have to take your photo on Tuesday, but you do have to link here if you wish to play with us.

I've been cutting up this old pair of shorts I can no longer wear (pretty obvious from the teeny tiny waist I had when I worked in industry), and thought I would do it outside this early morning before the sun comes up and heats up both the inside and outside of my home.  Look at all those pleats.  What woman in her right mind wears pleats?

This is the perfect time of day for me to be outside, and since I'm working at a "desk," I need a way to contain the coffee I'm drinking, so detritus doesn't get into the cup.

Not only is this a very generous mug with a lid, it also doubles as a sporty cup with its own saucer.  It holds my freshly ground French Roast coffee which I must have all day long, along with a "bit" of half and half.

Actually I've cut back on the half and half.  I used to drink it completely white, now it's a colorful taupe.

Please join us by linking with your T post below.

Elizabeth, I can't wait to see how you are going to use the fabric from those shorts!

Only the bottom of the glass made it into my T post, but in fairness, my daughter didn't know I wanted more than the food in the photo! :)

hahaha I love that you have to use the lid to keep the D away. Good soup mug too when winter comes

Hello and Happy T time!! I love the shorts and can't wait to see what you will do with them. What a wonderful mug you have and the saucer/lid is perfect for outdoors. It's great to get out and enjoy the warm days before fall and winter come. I am thinking of drinking my tea outside on Tuesday's now while the kids go back to school. Just me, tea and the sky to start off this already wonderful day thanks to you!
I finally have a different cup in my picture today, haha. You might enjoy it also on a hot day.
Thanks for sharing and have a great Tuesday! HUGS!

I can see that shorts material turning into some interesting stuff, love the stripes! Now only you would have a mug with a lid for outside working, such a good idea, I hate finding insects floating in my drink!!

Hmm well stripes are slimming so may have offset all the pleats. tehe Cool lidded cup. And more fabric...now what are you making with that? Hugs and happy T day! :)

well Lordy aren't you tiny! I cannot attest to your right mind (!) but hey, if your waist is that small, you can do pleats tin aplomb. ironing them on the other hand..ugh. so I think meeting their destiny in your crafty hands is the best use for them, for sure! Your taupe coffee is a little light for me....but I don't like it black. I'm getting fussier!!

I just have to say what a hoot it is going thru these blogs, so much fun for an early bird like me. So happy and thankful I found you thru SOC and again thru our mandalas. I think everyone will need a Frosty after reading my post, ha. It was nice to share a new drink finally.
Thanks for the help with the links, will keep working on it and happy to see what you have to share about it.
What a sweet hostess you are too, your comments were making me laugh this morning.
Have a great time blog hopping today and love that you post these early too. HUGS!

I'll bet you looked cute in those shorts, pleats and all. I know you are going to put the fabric to good use now though. Great mug with a lid.

I also thought of soup for that cup. Wondering what you will make with the striped shorts fabric. :)

There's me thinking it was chicken soup! I like my coffee very milky...very late today as I've only just stopped long enough for a cuppa!
