August and September calendar pages

It's time to join Kate at The Kathryn Wheel with my monthly calendar pages for August and September.  This is my third year, and I don't seem to be much better at decorating my pages.

I tried to convey the heat by the splashes of red I added to this page,  I considered adding a few umbrellas, since rain and flooding played such an important part of this month.  But I've got a dreaded project for the month of September, and time is crucial.

You can tell from my cool colors background, I'm hoping for cooler weather now that September is at our doorstep.

Thanks to all who visit each month.  I so appreciate the input.

WOW, you are so busy with all your fun stuff. Do you ever sleep or relax? LOVE IT!!

These look good to me, I do need to join this group. I LOVE calenders, use to make scrapbook calenders years ago and it's one of my favorites to look at.

Cooler weather sounds great to me too. Fall is my favorite season and favorite holidays Thanksgiving and Halloween.

What journal do you use for these? I'm guessing they are all in the same book? Do you leave it out and work on it daily? weekly? or all at once?

Will let you know if I make one for September. Oh how about if I did it and put in my Project Life album for each month, that would be ok, right?
I'm getting ready to do my Hello September post soon and this would go with it.
What do you think?
Hope your having a good weekend! Stay cool!

Don't wear make-up, it melts right off!

Thanks soooo much for the helpful answers to my questions. You are so sweet and are so good about that, never have to wait.
I thought of file folders too, couldn't find the few I have left. I LOVE LOVE the idea of the extra paint going on the backgrounds, will do this too for next month. I was so excited after seeing yours last night, I made one up before bed. Nothing fancy but it's done and that's what counts right. Next month I will have plenty of time to work on it and try new things. I like that you keep them all in a book, will be great to look back at them and see what you did.

I will check out that link, seen others who do it this and just never made the time to do it. Now it's just what I need for my PL divider page each month.
Will post it with my PL post this week.
Take care and thanks again, see you tomorrow for Mandala Monday. HUGS!!

Here is you doing cooler weather colours and here I am just heading into Spring! It's warmed up nicely this last week and we are averaging 27 degrees... which seems pretty warm for the start of spring for me!!
Hope September and the dreaded project work out drier and cooler for you!

Just finished mine yesterday. I wish for rain lots of it. I may just have to make a rain goddess.

Elizabeth I love your calendar pages, the colours work beautifully and perfectly represent the weather changes, superb work sweetie. The way you adapt your stash to your needs is amazing as always, the file folders are just the right size to house a month for you.
Huge hugs x x x x

Your pages look great and I'm so impressed that you manage to keep on top of it each month despite other deadlines.
Hope you get some cooler weather this month. Here in the UK we are saying goodbye to an unusually good summer and dreading the dark nights and winter weather!
Thanks so much for continuing to be such a loyal member of this on-going challenge :-))
p.s. Although there has been a shift towards facebook I will continue to post a blog linky each month ...
