July and August in my monthly calendar

Once again I'm linking to Kate at The Kathryn Wheel with my latest calendar pages.

One of the reasons I don't like to decorate my pages at the beginning of the month is because I'm never quite sure what the month will bring.  This month there were lots of seasonal challenges and blog hops, including "Where Bloggers Create," "Summer of Color (SOC)," and "Index Card a Day (ICAD)."   Of course, there are the recurring challenges, like "Mandala Monday," which is new for me, "Inspiration Avenue, (IA)" which I haven't participated in for a long time, "WOYWW," a Wednesday adventure with a desk and rocking horses (mine), which I try not to miss, and my monthly "Artful Readers Club (ARC)."

However, I never thought when July began that I would start my own weekly meme.  Still not sure what a "meme" is, but I've started one (grin).  There's even a link on my right sidebar as proof.  So that's why the tea cups and pots.  Of course, you can also tell my stamping hasn't improved any!

August's calendar has been created and I'm all ready to go.  I used various watered down fluid acrylics (Golden product) to color the background which lives on the flip side of July's file folder page.

Be sure to check with Kate for links to other bloggers who have joined this challenge.  I'm sure they will appreciate your visit as much as I.

These are going to be so much fun to look back on in the future, when the smaller details have gone, such a unique way to keep a diary!

these are cool, Elizabeth. I love the way you highlight whatever you are doing both creative and mundane. It's a real piece of life!

On the road so hard to comment as. Not always a connection. Bluebeard does not look too pleased that he has a job on the side bar! Will check him out when I am home in a couple of weeks.
