Index card a day for July 20th through 26th

We're nearly at the end of our journey with Tammy at Daisy Yellow and her now famous ICAD project.  I wasn't sure I would finish, because there were days I just didn't want to make one.  But perseverance is the key, right?  And now the finish line is in sight.

The theme of the week was doodles, but anyone who has ever been to my blog knows I don't doodle.  My hand cramps and I can't hold a pen for very long due to a rare form of arthritis which is attributed to a birth defect.  I can't decorate cakes, either, so I definitely know my limits.  So no doodles for me this week, since I'll be striking out on my own.

Day 50
Die cuts I received in a swap were added to a piece of ribbon I sewed to the IC I colored using one of my hand made shimmering mists.

Day 51
Anyone who knows me, knows I couldn't go two complete months without adding a rocking horse into the mix somewhere.  Background from a magazine paired with a stamped rocker.

Day 52
I had this already fussy-cut horse image sitting on my desk, so thought now would be a good time to use it.  More hand made mists.

Day 53
For this one, I swiped some black Staz-on DTP (direct to paper) on the IC, then used magazine images to shape a heart and background.  I printed the sentiment.

Day 54
I found all these "less" words and inked around them.

Day 55
Yes, I agree.  Day 55's IC is a bit lame, but I didn't have much time, so cut a few paint chip samples and sewed them together.

Day 56
A bit of sewing, a bit of scrapbook paper, a bit of paint chips, and a yellow pen that doesn't show the date and names very well.

Please visit Tammy for the links to others who have joined this fun collaboration.  I know they will be happy if you do.

Hi...I like all your cards very much...Day 50 is so bright and cheery but I like them all. I'm already thinking, what will I do after ICAD is over? :) I'm thinking maybe go bigger...postcard size. Have a great weekend and I hope your hand gets much better soon.

Great cards! I think my favourite is the first one - so bright and colourful. Love the horses, too!

As always, I love how you think outside the box. I like the sewn ones--one of these days I will unpack the little sewing machine I bought and try that.

I am always amazed with the amount of variety you come up with for these ICAD projects!

Thanks for your nice comment on my "stained glass" rose cards. I guess we are always our worse critics. I think I'll start a post called, "What to do with projects that don't turn out like you planned"! :)
