While shopping at Sam's (members only) Discount Warehouse over a recent weekend, I noticed
their choice of teas to sell to consumers.
Frankly, I have never cared for Lipton tea, but I've read the bags used to make iced tea are large and make great tea bag art. I wasn't about to buy any to find out, though.
Technically not tea, these smoothie drinks were put out by AriZona, a tea I've purchased in a can before. Love the cans, can't say as much for the tea.
After I took a photo of Monster energy drink (which had the words tea and energy on the label on the left), I learned it was, to state the now obvious, an energy drink. In addition to being an energy drink and NOT tea, this drink has a not-so-nice reputation. You can read about it here. The Wikipedia entry references the original bright green drink seen on the right side of this photo. Apparently, the Monster's claw is represented on the can.
On the left are Monster Assault (red can), Monster Khaos (energy enhanced fruit juice in the orange can), Monster M-80 (another juice and energy drink in the yellow can), and Monster Import (yellow green). The white cans on the middle pallet are Monster Zero Ultra (zero calories, zero sugar, and probably zero good for you).
So much for shopping in warehouses. I'll take my tea in bulk (leaves that is), or small bags from reputable tea merchants. How do you purchase your tea?

good to hear from and see you again, too!! I appreciated your comment on I Love You, Currie. looks like you're having some good fun. BE Well, Currie
Like you, mostly we use loose leaf tea. Ours is purchased in bulk at a local Indian market. I do like Twinings though and Tazo - although I suppose Tazo isn't strictly speaking a "tea".

PS - you inspired today's post at my place.
Big Box big tea.....when I drink tea, mostly iced in the summer, I like you love loose leaf tea....you can get your own loose tea bags, and then save those.....for arty play the next day - okay sappy but it's hot and I don't do well when hot. LOL (I like fruit teas in the summer) xox
I've never tried an energy drink and never will. Hopefully I'll be able to convince my kids of the same before they are out in the world purchasing for themselves.
Happy T Day Elizabeth!
Lovely to see pics again... you look like you had a good time in the big store! I drink Yellow Lable teabags... by them in boxes of a 100 and usually purchase 5 boxes at a time... yes, I drink a lot of tea!! LOL
i buy some loose tea and some in bags. i used to buy tea from mail order specialty places, but i got out of that habit and now only buy tea locally. i like to try different kinds, so i like to buy small quantities. i can't imagine a use for so many tea bags except maybe for large group functions.
i've never had an energy drink, unless you count coffee or tea ;)
i found a 1941 british video on tea making: http://divers-and-sundry.blogspot.com/2013/06/tea-making-tips.html
Looks like the camera problem must have been solved....good! I'm a Tazo "Zen" tea lover, green tea and mint!
I drink mostly Twinings--a large variety of them! I do occasionally drink Lipton decaf in the evening, but I admit it has no taste.
I wouldn't buy any of those "teas" from the warehouse. The teas I own are mostly loose leaf. I used to be in a tea club and I have bought tea from the local health food store, too. Not a regular tea drinker, but I do like good tea. Well, I also grind my own coffee beans. ;)
I visited a Sam's in California and will always remember the $1 hotdog we had... never ate again all day as I was stuffed.
I buy my special tea in small packets, leaf or T bags varies. I love Earl Grey tea but find that the bergamot flavour weakens and gets stale if I buy big packets.
BTW you may be interested that I have been to Earl Grey's stately home in Howick HallNorth East England. Beautiful gardens there and we had a wonderful lunch in the ornate ballroom, now a tea room, with fabulous home made cakes afterwards and, of course, his specialty tea. He, (the tale goes) received the tea in mid 1800s, from a grateful mandarin in China who blended it especially to use with the hard water in Northumberland. It was a memorable day.

Those monster energy drinks sound like concoctions of junk to me...but they seem to sell so there is a market.
I am pretty low tech in the tea department.
Would you believe I only brought some hotel teabags home and did not buy ANY tea while in the UK...glad I remembered our bulging cupboard full LOL.
