Summer of Color 3, week 2: Hot Pink and Orange

Some of you may have read that my camera is not working, so, although I took step out pictures of this piece, all I can do at the moment is show you and Kristin, our wonderful hostess at Twinkle Twinkle, the finished piece.

While at my friend Kathy's, I logged on Saturday morning using her computer and saw the winning colors.  Then I took advantage of Kathy's dies, embossing folders, rubber stamps, and Copics to make this collage for week 2 of Summer of Color.  I was quite happy with how this turned out.

Sorry I can't show how I made this piece, but I'm still working on getting the photos off my memory card.   It appears to be a file extension problem of some sort that I don't have the (supposedly downloadable and free) software that might correct the problem.  Somehow it happened when I was deleting a few photos at Kathy's while the memory card was still in the camera.  But I am always extra cautious when it comes to adding any software onto my computer.  I'd rather wait till I hear from someone who knows more about this file extension (.vfs) than I.

Have a Summer of Color week and please stop by and visit others who are playing along with Kristin.

First of all... have a look on your card for something called the DCIM folder. Your photos should be in there and you should be able to get them off fine.
Secondly, that is such a bright and summery collage with your flutterbies, very pretty indeedy!

That looks great and you've done it so quickly as well. I've only just seen the colour announcement and you've already completed. Well done on both counts.

How could you see the winning colours on Saturday as they were only posted this morning and not even before I had to go down for breakfast here in the UK! Am I missing something? Came back less than an hour later and the post was there plus your link - super mega fast there
Elizabeth, love all the diecut labels and butterflies very effective. BJ - not done mine YET!

Such a lovely, bright example of the prompt! The butterflies are perfect for Summer too.
Thank you for your comment - I really toyed with the idea of leaving up the poll after "pausing" the comments on Fridays, but in the end, I felt that it would be better to give a heads up for those who wanted to check out the results. So glad it works for you, thank you for the confirmation :) xoxo

Ooh, lovely butterflies. Love the way they're larger at the bottom and get smaller towards the top and the mix of stamping and collage.

Hope you figure out the camera problems soon. It is so frustrating to have images so close and yet so far away (having been there myself!!). Love the colours this week, not colours I have used together before but they do scream summer out to me! :)

They seem perfect for butterflies.
