A time for war, a time for peace

I found this very effective image on Crafty Brooklyn Wife's blog by doing an internet search for Veterans Day images.  Crafty Brooklyn Wife, whose name is Alisha and lives in Ontario, Canada, truly has a very crafty blog.  She is also the wife of a military man.  Although she doesn't cite where she got this image, or if she made it, I fell in love with it.  It signifies our Armed Services, whether living or dead, serving or retired.  That's what this day is all about, at least in the USA.

This is Day 11 of AEDM, which honors Veteran's Day on 11/11, which I USUALLY post at 11:11 AM my time.  Do you know someone who served in the military?  If so, please give them a hug, or better yet, buy them a poppy today to go with that hug.

Great image. Lots of veterans in my family - sadly lots of wars in my lifetime.

Love the image too Elizabeth...a great reminder of just how much history there is to be honoured and remembered. A very moving service at our village cenotaph today....lots of pride and love swirling around.
