A time for tea and pumpkins

I want to begin by pointing out, I still cannot leave comments on any blog with embedded text.  If you aren't sure what "embedded" is, simply scroll to the end of this post and see what it means and how to change your comments.  I intend to leave this message at the top of EACH blog post until Blogger does something about this problem, which seems to have affected other bloggers, too.

I used to start with this, then

graduated to this

to make this, a pumpkin roll that has become a holiday favorite of friends.  I seem to break it every year, even though I've gotten better than the first time I made it.  Those of you who have been around my blog for awhile know that I bring out my Old Curiosity Shop dishes I inherited from my grandmother and use them exclusively between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  If you want to see a post that shows the complete set, please go here and scroll down a bit.

Let's raise our cups of tea and enjoy Tea Tuesday in preparation of the upcoming strictly US holiday.

And while we're celebrating, please head over to Halle at Halle's Hobbies.  She is having a giveaway of one of her famous handmade scrap journals she makes.  I have one and love it, so you will too.  All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, which is the only type of giveaways I mention on this blog.  You have until November 27 to enter, so hurry over soon.

This is Day 20 of AEDM. Please feel free to join us with your favorite drink today.

I broke out in a big grin when you went from raw pumpkin to the box mix! must be way easier, I agree...but I've never had success with rolling up anything like this...can't seem to keep the cake in one piece!

What fun and 'curious' dishes too-- they are gems. Enjoy your tea dear, and have a lovely week.
