TEA on Tuesday?

I am packing to go to my friend Kathy's. We are going to have a play day. No shopping, no going out for lunch, just making lots of cards. I took these photos on Monday because I am not here, but could not miss Tea Tuesday. It's become my one constant each week.

In case you can't tell, I'm not only not here, I'm also not drinking tea. Instead, this is a glass of limeade I made just a few minutes before I gathered these supplies.

While at Kathy's, I plan to make a few Halloween cards, along with a few Christmas cards if we have enough time. She wants to make birthday cards, so I am bringing enough ribbon and paper to accommodate both my cards and anything she might want to make that I bring. She's getting her ideas from Pinterest.

I used three slices of lime in this small glass, then added the final slice as decoration.

I am nearly packed and ready to go. The paper, vellum, decorations, bling, embellishments, glue, and ribbon are all ready. Then I realized I might need some rubber stamps.

So after several sips of limeade, I got my stamps ready. I even segregated them according to Christmas, Halloween, and general. I also am throwing in my Wacky Tac for those stamps I haven't applied it to. Kathy said she has removed all the wood from her stamps, so I want to make sure we have a way to adhere the rubber to acrylic blocks. It's the best "temporary" adhesive I've ever found and the rubber doesn't leave anything sticky on your acrylic blocks. Now I must get these in a baggie so they will also be ready for Tuesday, my day to honor tea!

I hope you'll consider joining me. I would love to have you share whatever you are drinking each Tuesday, too.

BTW, I won't be home in time for WOYWW this week. Although I would love to join, there will be no way I could link up until I get home, more than likely around midnight.

Hi Elizabeth,

I hope you are having fun with your friend. That's a nice collection of goodies for you to work with. I have the stamp of the four ravens sitting on the branch.

Your limeade looks nice and refreshing. Will miss you on Wednesday.

Hugs,
Kay

This sounds like so much fun - my friend and I did it a couple weeks ago and while we might make cards a little faster alone (less talking), it wouldn't be nearly as much fun. Plus the collaboration and sharing of ideas can't be beat. I hope you have a stellar day.

Also, I did a quick read through of your fabric lesson for the AB - as usual it's astoundingly complete and full of information. I've let my AB fall through the cracks, but when I'm ready to get back to it, your tutorials will be just what I need to guide me. You're the best.

Now that sounds like MY kind of play date! I hope you have fun! I'd love to hear more about what you're doing with those stamps, why do you remove the backing? Now you've got me really curious......

I think you have the perfect arrangement going on there... making cards is always more fun when done with someone else!! your drink looks refreshing and cool... you may still need that but it was distinctly cool today and very autumnal!!

Oh gosh you are organized. My best crafty friend is a weaver but she sometimes comes and makes collage with me, it is more inspiring to play with friends. xox

It looks like you organized well for your day of crafting. Kathy does pin a lot and I would love to see what she makes with her pins, please tell her I wished she blogged so she could contribute to my Project Pinterest. I think of you everytime I see a rocking horse while pinning! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
