WOYWW 156: Forward and backward (AKA It's time to party!!)

Today I'm looking backward, as well as forward. It's the 3rd Anniversary for WOYWW, the brainchild of Julia at Stamping Ground. Looking back, you can see what I made to honor the 1st anniversary: my sewing machine dust cover and WOYWWendy. In return, I received the lovely card holder that is now holding the envelope that is looking forward to going to the next person on this week's list.

Do you see today's rocking horse? This one's a bit more hidden than most. I know many of you visit just to see them.

For the second anniversary, I sent this quiltlet as part of a Pay It Forward game we played. Obviously, I can't show it in person because it is now in a new home across the pond.

The rocking horse I alluded to is hidden because it sits under my sewing machine to absorb the machine's vibrations. In a former life, it was a one-only foam and plastic Christmas place mat. I'm off to see who I'm sending my ATC to. Have a great WOYWW everyone.

Hi Elizabeth! I'm sorry I confused you! I made a mess of the linking, and even made a mess of Peggy's too (she's in the US). Blame it on my haste and surprise when I saw the linky up and running! I'm surprised you didn't add the WOYWW badge to your collection! :^) patsy

Can't see the rocking horse, maybe he has galloped off to the other side of the field, or maybe I need better glasses. Thanks for sharing all your previous celebratory makes, I'm a relative newcomer in comparison.
I have ATCs going free and would love to send you one, especially as you are so good doing the AB course for us (and I promise I will catch up). If you would like one please send me your address.

Great post, Elizabeth, I enjoyed the retrospective look at how you celebrated previous anniversaries. Didn't spot the rocking horse at all, it's very well hidden under the sewing machine :) Happy WOYWW and enjoy what's left of the day. Elizabeth x #96

Hi Elizabeth,

How fun to see what you've made for past anniversaries! I like that quilted piece. As for my sewing machine, it doesn't need a dust cover because it's NEVER out. Ugh. I like the dragonflies on yours.

I'm glad you pointed out where the rocking horse was. I was going bonkers trying to find it. And WOYWW Wendy! I haven't seen her in a long time. I kept thinking I must not be visiting the person who has her, but I have visited you. I must not have spotted Wendy. I noticed your machine cover last week and thought it was neat. I didn't realize all these goodies were from WOYWW anniversaries past. How totally cool!

Hi there Elizabeth, Thanks so much for popping over and do like your looking forward looking back. Such views shows you have been around from beginning and blogging longer than I have - only started blog on 01.11.10 and joined WOYWW pretty soon after that as had seen it before on few folk I was following...
Funny aren't we how start things.. without quite meaning to -that is how I fell into blogging and hence WOYWW! and look at what it has given in return, so much richness!! happy 3rd birthday of WOYWW! thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz. x #30

Well Elizabeth, you certainly had me fooled looking for the Rocking horse this week. I could see the green bit under the machine but thought it was a pea pod! Do I see Bleubeard at the right hand side of the machine?

Happy Anniversary Elizabeth and Boss! You have been in this WOYWW longer than me, but I still enjoy it.
You asked about my blog heading. Thanks for the compliment. It has been there a while but the general background has changed because Blogger no longer likes Shabby Blogs which is what I had until I tried to change it to freshen it up! Need to sit down and try and find something a little more "me"

What a lovely idea to look back at your previous anniversary mementos. I was looking back at the post I did last year and had forgotten that I had made up a poem in celebration but the PIF that I received isn’t forgotten because it hangs over my computer desk.

Hope you have a good week and…….
Happy Crafting!

I'm never such an early bird on WOYWW these days. I liked it when Julia started it just after midnight, whcih gave me a real chance to get a low number! It's still the middle of the night for me when it all gets going these days!

Thanks for an interesting post about WOYWW and its history. I also enjoyed your pictures of the hail storm - very dramatic!! Thanks for your comment on my blog, and I'm glad you like my latest Zentangle art.

I'm all behind with WOYWW this week - worse than ever. I doubt I'll even make 10 visits this week - after all our busyness lately, I've crashed a bit and trying not to put any pressure on myself.

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi
