Every year I bring this set of dishes out (I've shown the complete set before here on another of Kimmie's Tea Tuesday posts) between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I use this set for company and also occasionally for Tea Tuesday between these two holidays.
Now that everything has been polished and shined in preparation for the Thanksgiving bash, I can relax and have tea with all my Tuesday tea friends whose links are at Kimmie's. As I prepare for the Thursday event, I want to make certain I have plenty of everything. So today I am offering you a choice between milk (actually 1/2 and 1/2) and lemon. It's your choice. Chose whichever you prefer. I have plenty of both!
The tea is a blend of several teas called Irish Breakfast tea, which is supposed to be very strong and can be served with or without milk. Of course, sugar is optional.
Please visit Kimmie for more Tea Tuesday participants. It goes without saying, if you live in the US, have a thankful and safe Thanksgiving.

I love lemon in my tea :) or almost anything. I like to bring special items out to use at special times of the year too, yours is lovely, such a pretty colour and pattern. Happy T day to you :)
Oh my. I have this set of dishes too. They were the ones we used every day as I was growing up. I've since filled in a few pieces here and there at antique stores but I LOVE them. I often think about using them for everyday now but we have a good stoneware set.
Having a set of dishes to use just for the winter holidays is a nice tradition! I drink my tea plain....Tazo Zen tea is my favorite! You may know that Tazo started in Portland but is now owned by Starbucks!
I love lemon most of all. Lovely tea set. My grandmother had a set just like it. Don't know what ever happened to it though. Have a happy tea day and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Pretty dishes. It is fun to have special dishes for the holidays isn't it? I'll have my tea without either milk or lemon or sugar thanks.

Oooo tea with lemon would be just perfect ! Hello Elizabeth, it's been too long. As we say in Australia I have been "flat out like a lizard drinking". Your lovely tea post has calmed me and made me take a breath. So much happening around here at the moment and it wont be back to normal until after Christmas. Happy Tea Tuesday to you, it's been a lovely visit. xx
I love your tea set! And great minds are thinking alike today .... Irish breakfast for me too .... And Patty (although I haven't been by to see her just yet). I always take milk with my irish breakfast tea or else my mouth just puckers up like crazy with all the tannins. My Gran always had lemon in her tea - but I just like milk.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I prefer lemon...unless its red roobios tea. Then I like a little milk or cream.
I missed tea yesterday. Too busy of week.
What a pretty set of dishes. You know I've wondered if all the tea drinkers on Tuesday use sugar or honey. I never think of adding milk. You can tell I don't drink it often enough!
Milk for me! Thank you! Is that the "Curiosity Shoppe" set? My MiL has it in green. I love how each piece has a different design.
Happy belated Tea Tuesday and have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your guests!
Sugar...Lots of Sugar!
