Impulse Tea

I have to admit, I wasn't sure how cool it would be sitting on my front porch this morning, since yesterday was another scorcher (99 F) as my friend Sally and I worked our way around the Kansas State Fair. But thankfully, it is still cool this morning.

Sometimes you get sucked into making an impulse buy. Now I have tons of tea, most of which is loose leaf I purchased from a local tea and spice company called The Spice Merchant. But something made me buy this tea the other day at the market.

What was it that caused this impulse buy? Was it the name of the brand? Could it have been the ingredients: white tea and pomegranate? Was it the color, or possibly that it was a juice and tea drink? Regardless whatever led to this impulse, I'm going to sit on my front porch, allow these end-of-summer, early morning breezes to wash over me, and enjoy this entire bottle of ArTeaSia tea. And while I'm doing that, please join Kimmie and all my Tea Tuesday friends as you enjoy your favorite drink today. What was the last impulse buy you made?

That looks good! I love the name too and I know that would have made me buy it. I believe a name is very important in marketing. I have even found that out with my fiber art, watercolor and even handcrafted soap that I make. If I have the right name it sells much better. Isn't that funny! Happy tea day.

Your turn of phrase "allow these end-of-summer, early morning breezes to wash over me" is so beautiful and you described just what I did this morning too altho we have cooled down considerably and hope you will soon too...I've been saying that to you for a VERY long time now!

sipping tea watching the birds and listening to the chirp of the crickets is very relaxing indeed!

I think the AR Tea may have pulled you in...it is the first thing I saw too :)

thanks for having us over for tea...very very lovely E!

Ah Elizabeth - I'd have bought that too - and I don't drink tea; but I'm a sucker for clever words and this is lovely! I must say that thought of sitting on your porch in an early morning of late summer is just one of the nicest things. I may never leave.

You do realise that you are going to have to peel that label off and use it in your work, don't you? Lovely name and it sounds nice too... pomegranet and tea... yummmmm!
Glad to hear that you are cooling down... we are too!! Probably a little more than you are... today is a dreary clouded over sort of day and its about 13 degrees.... I think summer is probably on its way out!!

We had a break from the heat for a few days, but it's returned with a vengence. Take comfort in knowing you don't sweat alone. :) Your tea sounds refreshing. I'd have to call myself a compulsive tea buyer...a hoarder even. My last impulse buy was made today...a package of tiny hair claw-clips to keep the hair out of my eyes. Happy tea day. :)

I would have but that tea too :)
My latest impulse buy was probably the stick blender I bought on e-bay (for soap making). An impulse buy because the very next day I found one at a garage sale for one fifth the price. And then on impulse I bought that one too. Now I have two of them. Sheesh.

Happy Tuesday Elizabeth (and Bleubeard)!

Hello Elizabeth, your tea sounds very interesting and your porch looks very inviting, I would love to sit with you a while. No tea post from me again ! Life is just a little crazy at the moment but I know it will settle down after next week. Have a very happy Tuesday Tea Day. xx

Think I might have bought that tea, too, not only for the great graphics but "white tea and pomegranet", are you kidding, it sounds delightful!

I would have bought that tea too with a name like that. Your porch looks inviting. I used to have a wicker chair like the one shown. You won't have to worry about the heat for too much longer Elizabeth. Fall will be here all too soon now.

How could you NOT buy a tea with ART as the first part of its name?
