Coffee on Tea Tuesday

Welcome to Tea Tuesday with Kimmie and the girls.

At this very moment, I'm wiping off the patio table in order to create a tutorial. Besides the bucket of water, I am enjoying a glass of ice coffee made the way I like it: full bodied with lots of half and half. I realize these photos are a bit blueish, but it's because it is not quite 6:00 am and the sun is just now peeking on the horizon.

In case you weren't here yesterday, I showed how to make a collograph plate, and today I'm setting up to make something using at least one. Unfortunately, I fear it is too hot to do more than one tutorial at a time in this unbearable heat that continues to grip the midwest with no relief from 100F + degree days in sight.

On the table are (from left) fluid acrylics, Shiva/Markel Paint Stiks, low tack masking tape, my coffee filled with ice cubes that are melting away as I take photos, handmade collograph plates, and some new fabric I washed and have chosen for these techniques. Have a great Tea Tuesday and stay safe and comfortable, whatever your weather situation.

You're up early. With the heat it is probably the only time of day you enjoy. I'll join you in a cup of coffee although I'm having mine hot and plain.

Wishing you cooler temps.

I like my coffee exactly the same way-I prefer my caffeine cold with lots of half and half added and plenty of ice. I am wondering what the temperature is going down to at night there? Bet sleeping is rough.

I'll be watching for progress on the tutorial when it gets a bit cooler there.

Sounds interesting. Yes, the heat won't let up here either. But I do think we are more to it here in south Texas. Will be watching for your tute. Happy tea day.

I agree, never too hot for coffee! Wishing you the same break from heat that we're getting right now- MAYBE it's heading your way?

The early bird gets the worm is what they say ..... If you didn't get up so early you wouldn't get much play time in at all would you? That's how I am in the winter time. I love that feeling of starting my day before anyone else :)

I look forward to seeing your collograph process!

Happy Tuesday! Kimmie

It is really lovely of you to visit my blog even though it is rather lacking in art at the moment. Thanks for your amusing comment!
I can see why you may be up early...in an attempt for some cool, in the early hours. Stay safe!

I thought I was early this morning (7 am) but you realy are a morning bird!!! We had/have rain and cold in the Netherlands, not the usual Summer weather at all... I still have to wear socks and sweatshirts and I'm sick and tired of it! I long for walking barefeet, but your heat may be too much... let's say I send you some of our cold and you send some heat - we might both end up just fine!

Sounds like the perfect time of day to me. I'm an early bird, and summer days start at 5 a.m.

Holy Cow! I can't even begin to "think" at 6 a.m.!!! Indeed, I am NOT a morning person, Elizabeth! Can't wait to see more! Stay cool. We're in for more nasty Hot Stuff too! Hugs, Terri xoxo
