Envelope swap

Remember the other day when I showed the front and back of my first set of decorated envelopes?

Here is the front of the second set. Yep, I finally found my hearts. They were with the rest of the pieces I was going to add to the envelope, but they had been flattened so well, I didn't realize they were in the container I used to save all the pieces I set aside to use for these.

This is the back of the second set. These envelopes are about 8 X 10 and are quite heavy.

Materials for this project include napkins, candy holders, a colored phone book page, "kisses" strips, an address label colored with Twinkling H2Os, and hand painted paper left over from the other envelope set.

I love them. You are inspiring me to go back and create more of the ones I do. Who wouldn't be excited when they opened their mailbox to those treasures.

Speaking of mailboxes...I just looked back over your OWOH "door prizes" I really would love to open my mailbox to those gorgeous pieces of artwork! You have totally outdone yourself!

Warm wishes for the weekend.

What fun someone is going to have when they go to their mailbox. Once in awhile I decorate an env. but usually I'm running late with whatever I'm mailing and just anxious to get a stamp on it, LOL! I should do some envy's ahead of time.

I love these. Isn't it fun altering envelopes? I find it to be a no-brainer activity. I don't plan anything out I just do and have so much fun seeing what comes of it. I wish I had taken a scan of the valentine card I sent my dughter. The envolpe was fully decorated with stickers, doodles and highlighter pens. Just a quick break time at work that left me with a fun addition to her valentine and the mail carrier should love it too.

ooohhh wish one was winging its way to me over the sea!!!! they are fabby Elizabeth. I do like to do something on my envelopes when sending them out. When I used to write from the States to my friends back in UK I always tried to put something funny on the front 'specially for the postman to read....... hugs xxxx

These are lovely. Anyone would be thrilled to get snail mail in these. I think handwritten letters are almost a thing of the past and maybe decorated envelopes will get everyone interested again more.
