Day 11 has one of my favorite box decorations.
I used two matching African beads to denote the day. But the fun doesn't stop there.
On the inside is a tiny vial filled with sand and tiny shells. Also in the box is a stand alone shell.
A wide shot of today's box might give an even better idea of the contents. I covered the holes in the box's foam using a strip of paper. I'm contemplating adding another tiny shell, since items are always artistically better in threes (or any uneven number).
Have a great Saturday, and I'll be back after I unload yesterday's photos off my camera, along with my artist pick of the day.

Oh how lovely. I'm reminiscing over an australian beach with about 8 miles of sand and 3 people on it...teeny shells, warmth, good light...how quickly I forget such stuff when winter arrives!
aw I remember standign with my feet in the (warmer than my feet) indian ocean on Durban beach on New Years Day and saying to Niall - you are going to have to carry me home kicking and screaming because here Is Where I want to Stay,
thank you for warm memories as I sit her in a hat and scarf blogging in my not quite freezing draughty room

I'll take any beach but the 7-mile beach in Grand Cayman is my favorite.
Hi Elizabeth, it's wonderful counting down the days with your calendar. I love the little bottle with sand and shells in :-) And whilst others are reminiscing about wonderful beaches, I remember the sand on the beach in Cancun, it was so soft it was like standing in talcum powder.
Happy Saturday ;-)
