Tea Tuesday: Caffeine on my back patio

I'm tired! Really tired. I've not slept well for days. In fact, I've not slept much at all for days. I've been very busy, planting in the garden, making spray paint art, and burning the candle of life at both ends, realizing there are not enough hours in a day to do everything I want to do, including visiting many of my dear friends' blogs.

I need a jolt of caffeine as I sit on my patio this morning. Only a big mug of coffee will do the trick today. Thankfully Kimmie, our hostess with the links for other participants at Art in Red Wagons says you can choose your drink of choice. And my drink of choice this Tea Tuesday is something to get me ready to brace the day and provide a way for me to stay awake.

Before I forget, several people who read my blog have asked me about Tea Tuesday. Here are the details:
1. Go to Art in Red Wagons.
2. Leave a message for Kimmie letting her know you want to join Tea Tuesday.
3. We no longer have themes, so blog about anything (mostly) tea related in your Tea Tuesday post.
4. Visit the other Tea Tuesday blogs before you join to be sure this is the right collaboration for you.
5. Once you participate, be sure to provide a link to Kimmie's blog so your blog followers can visit the other participants. She will add your link to the list.
6. Once you join Tea Tuesday, visit the other Tea Tuesday blogs and leave a comment, showing both your respect and willingness to participate.
7. If I have forgotten anything, or if you have other questions, Kimmie will fill you in. She is our able and capable hostess.

Now that is out of the way, the sun continues to climb in the sky and I have something to show everyone. I removed the umbrella to expose some awesome packages I got in my mailbox yesterday. The one furthest back is from Cindy McMath. I loved the address label Cindy used. Everyone should be able to guess that the middle one is from Terri Kahrs. She has such a unique and colorful style. The third one is from Marie Segal. I have no idea what it is. It's a total surprise. I haven't opened any of them yet. I will open them after I have my first full cup of coffee.

While sipping away at my French Roast (freshly ground) with half and half, I began designing a new spray paint layout.

And to show it really is coffee, you can see I'm already nearly in need of a refill. And I'm still tired. Really tired! Have a totally terrific Tea Tuesday.

Since I'm not drinking tea today, I thought I would feature a blog that specializes in tea. Wonderful tea, unique tea, loose leaf tea! And she is an artist, too! Now how cool is that? Karen Park, the blog owner who lives in Massachusetts, makes jewelry, knits, dabbles in polymer clay and wire, and drinks some of the most wonderful tea. It's no coincidence her blog is called Art and Tea. She will hold particular appeal to those of us who routinely play in Tea Tuesday.

Have a happy and art filled Tea Tuesday everyone. For those of you who routinely visit my blog, I promise to be around to visit very soon. Without you and your support, this blog would be nothing. I love and appreciate you all.

I find that when it starts getting warmer and sunnier -especially in the morning - and all the birds are singing - it's very hard to sleep past 5 am. The new day always beckons! maybe this afternoon you can find a warm patch of sunshine and have a little catnap :)

Happy T today! and happy spray painting too! cheers! Kimmie

I'm a chronic insomniac, so I know how you feel... I typically take half an Ambien to sleep on week nights, even then I don't sleep all night, but at least I can GO to sleep, which is very difficult for me... So, I hope you get some rest soon. It's going to be fun to see what it's in the packages! I hope you share photos!

Lovely of you to explain about T tuesday - I find it's a nice way of comunicating without the pressure of making something ( apart from a cuppa !) These days my posts are never about tea but they were in the beginnig !

The tea in tuesday sounds like fun. I just wish that it was on Thursdays as that is my day off. That is when I get to get up and have a relaxing cup of tea. But I certainly enjoy reading about it..
