More altered Hands

I worked on a new background this weekend, then accidentally removed all the steps from my camera. So, I had nothing prepared today

until I put this page, front and back, together. It takes a little over an hour to sew one of these. I hope you aren't tired of seeing them.

Lots of magazine images, a handmade milagro, bottle cap, and button were used on these spreads. Hopefully I will have a tutorial on Wednesday, if I can recreate the process.

Today's blog is another one I found during OWOH. Imagine my surprise when I visited today and found Lyndah's most recent post talked about altered books (and her fear of them). Her blog is well named: Bloom, Bake, Create. She is a Master Gardener who lives in Indiana. She is a member of the Southern Indiana Master Gardener Association, loves to bake, and creates art, mainly anything that revolves around her photographs and photography. She has some pretty cool cats, too. So go check out her flowers, veggies, cats, and creativity. It's a great read, too.

Elizabeth, another great page for the hand book! Of course I zeroed right in on the BINGO card - LOL Great composition and really love what you've been doing with the sewing.

Maybe she will be inspired by you to overcome her fear of doing a book. They say there are no accidents in life!

Such great pages. And I love how the stitching on one side becomes a central piece on the other side! Very clever.

I love the way you have assembled this book. It must be challenging to create on the back side of each page, since you have stitching to deal with. Having said that, maybe it is the challenge that is the best part!

I never tire of anything to do with hands or faces. Looking forward to even more pages.
