I joined Project Dress Up 2010, the brainchild of Margaret at Alice and Camilla. If you want to join, just go here. Just be sure you have your dress and the direct link before you add it to Mr. Linky on her site.
I came to this project the last day of January, and started with my February dress, thinking that getting ahead of the game would be better than nothing. However, yesterday and this morning I played with making this dress, which I cut from the original pattern.
I wanted something blue and white for January, since those are the colors I most associate with January and winter. The dress was made using cardstock, dark blue tissue paper, and lace that I fused to the tissue. I added the ribbon rose for decoration.
To hide the hanger, I made a jacket, which is fully lined with the same lace. I then added decorative buttons to the front.
The back is a bit plain, but I'm happy with the design and the outcome. Thanks, Margaret for allowing me to play in this fun collaboration.

I really like this a lot. It reminds me of an outfit from the 50's which is my favorite era, even though I wasn't even born yet, and the sweater and lovely lace really sets it off. More gre4eat work!
