I actually finished my February dress before the one I made for January.
The top is made of fabric, the bottom some lovely tissue paper I had been saving for that perfect project. The apron was made from a heart doily.
The back is pink tissue fused to card stock. The buttons are little heart brads.
Because I had so much time on my hands, I chose to make a second dress. Actually it's an origami kimono. The "fabric" is made from three layers of tissue paper and glue. It is quite stiff and will actually stand on its own.
The front is left open to show the glitz and glitter of the inside of the piece. The hanger can be removed because I thought it looked better left loose than to try to glue it to the piece.
The back has a piece of joss paper added.
The detail on the front and the inside glitz is shown here.
The gold on the joss paper that decorates the back is hard to photograph.
Thanks again to Margaret for organizing this project.

Your February dress is lovely - the back is as nice as the front! Do you sandwich your hanger between the front and the back? I hadn't though of doing that, great idea!
Your little Kimoni is gorgeous too! Great texture.
