When I worked in industry, Just In Time or JIT was a system or strategy used to fill orders in the most efficient way, while reducing in-process inventories. The strategy, when implemented properly, provided a manufacturer with an optimum return on investment. It often relied heavily on time-series analysis and other mathematical (statistical) models.
Well, that's not exactly the JIT model I'm working from, but the model suits the situation. Tomorrow I have a dinner with two friends in my neighborhood, so I've finally made this magnet JIT for a friend who loves to gamble and play cards. I sure hope she likes it.
