Erase Hate in '08

I'm not often swayed by politics and social causes, especially in my art. But last night I heard a startling fact. There are 288 documented supremacist groups in the US as of August, 2008. I was shocked at how much home grown bigotry and hatred we seem to have festered in this time when we should all be celebrating a milestone in our political and social history. As a result of this revelation, I created this wall hanging to show that we must erase hate.
I would love to see hate eradicated in my lifetime. In fact, I would love to see it eradicated in 2008!! Maybe this piece will get a few people thinking before they say or do something that promotes hatred.

I so agree with you...hatred is a wasted emotion, and can eat away one's insides....let's stamp it out!
