I was removing photos from my camera and realized I had never shown these photos from Legends, although my friend Sally and I love to go there. I often try to mix my "out and about" T entries with ones I take at home. However, some months, I go out more than usual, so I don't have a chance to share these photos and they get lost in my computer.
This is Legends in September, 2015,
and this is my friend Sally that same day.
Look at their offerings. Note the saucers each have those wonderful doilies I always take home, too.
First, we'll begin with soup.
A vegetarian's dream come true.
Then there's the wonderful dessert bar.
There were lots of salad choices, too.
If you didn't care for those, there was always a wonderful mixed green salad.
Since it was Italian day, these were the choices.
It's such a shame this restaurant had to change so drastically when new owners came in. Not only did the quality (and quantity) of the food suffer, but the prices were increased by $4.00.
Here was Legends on September 9, 2016.
Granted, it had been about six months since we had been there, but we were NOT prepared for the changes that had been made. Note there was only ONE soup choice.
Although I'm not a fan of clam chowder, it looked like there wasn't going to be much this vegetarian could eat on this menu. We also learned the buffet was now only two days a week, not every weekday as was in the past. I was most saddened by the lack of those adorable doilies I always got to take home, too.
Coffee still came with the meal, so we both took advantage of that. Sally went straight to the meat after her mixed lettuce salad, but I smothered my salad in ranch dressing because it was all I chose to eat. Dessert was in a steamer and it was canned peach cobbler. They had "whipped topping" next to the hot cobbler, but I tasted it before I added it to my cobbler. It was that horrible imitation topping, not real whipped cream. Sad, but true, this restaurant has gone downhill quickly.
After we ate, we stopped by the Warren Theater and Sally bought tickets to Sully in IMAX. We picked our seats and the attendant printed them out for us, with the seat and row plainly showing. I admit, I've never been to an IMAX before, so I was looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about. I'll share that next Tuesday for T.
Now it's your turn to share your drink related post. Any drink is acceptable, and any setting is acceptable, as long as there is ANY drink you care to share with us. Think postcard, movie, fine art, poster art, sketches, digital, hybrid or traditional art, unique teapots, or, as Sally and I did, you might go out and about. Please link your direct blog post, not your blog in general. When you link, Bleubeard, the T gang, and I will be by to visit.
