March 28 is/was my friend Sally's birthday.
I didn't have time to make Sally a cake, so I purchased one for her instead. After taking about 30 photos of the cake in its holder,
I realized I would never get a good photo of it until I removed the cover. Yes, that is coffee in my Wichita State University mug.
Before I forget to show these beauties I got from Dianne, I wanted to show my gratitude and thank her for the added goodies she sent
along with the tip-ins she shared last week. Unfortunately, I had already put some of the stash away and had to pull some of it back out to share with you. Thanks Dianne. I promise they will be put to good use.
Sunday morning, while I was waiting for my old, slow computer to upload some photos, I was shocked to see it had snowed. It was lovely, fluffy snow
that covered everything except the gorgeous tulips that had just bloomed. You can see them in the middle far left next to my driveway in this photo.
By the time I got outside, the snow had stopped, but the evidence of it was everywhere.
If you visit often, you will notice I cut my rose bush and Rose of Sharon bush a few days ago. I definitely need to repair several of my wind chimes that have taken a turn for the worse.
This looks more like January than Easter Sunday. As an aside, the wild fires that have covered about 400,000 Kansas acres are now 81% contained. Between the Blackhawk helicopters on loan from the military, the reduced winds, and the snow, firefighters saw a marked improvement in containment on Sunday. By the time my visitors arrived, most of the 3.5 inches of snow we received had melted.
Thankfully, the snow was completely gone this morning (Monday) as evidenced by this photo when I took Sally's cake to her. Tuesday I'm taking her to Legends for Mediterranean food. I'll take you with me when I do.
I want to include a bit of "housekeeping," where I remind you to dig up your Second on the 2nd post. April 2 will be here before you realize it. Please invite your readers and followers to join in, too. The more the merrier.
Speaking of April, just as I do every year (for those of you new to my blog), beginning April 1 and continuing through April 22, which I call bEARTHday, I will share a recycled, repurposed, reused type post each day beginning shortly after midnight my time. For most of Europe, that will be either 5 or 6 am, providing you are on Daylight Savings Time. So please join me for some new posts each day and possibly a couple that were popular over the years.
Now it's your turn to share a drink related post. Feel free to discuss anything, as long as, in some way, you can relate it back to a drink, any drink. Then, please link these stories below. The photos don't have to be taken on Tuesday, and can relate to anything with a drink. Please use the direct link to your T post, not your blog in general, so we can find you easily.
