Wichita, Kansas (USA) got snow Thursday night and Friday morning.
I heard on one of the local TV stations that each home owner (that would be me) was responsible for clearing snow from their sidewalks and could be fined if they didn't and someone got hurt.
The "official" amount was 5.9 inches (1.798 meters) recorded at the airport. I ask who lives at the airport?
I had both ice and snow to deal with.
I finally had to remove my sling and shovel with both hands. It took over 4 hours to shovel which I "guess-timate" is about 10 feet of sidewalk. I had to stop every foot or so and go inside to warm myself. Lots of hot coffee helped. These photos were taken this morning. I was too shaky and in pain to take them yesterday afternoon.Thanks for dropping by today. I will visit as time permits. Right now, I have a hot pack on my left arm, but at least the city can't fine me!

we had frost only here, (Kew was beautiful today) but further north in the UK they have snow. take care, stay warm and safe and mind your arm.
You did get a lot of snow. Too bad you couldn't get someone to help you out. But at least you won't be fined.
You have MUCH more than we have in Michigan! At least, in my part of Michigan. I was lucky to find a couple of guys to do my snow this year after my old guy said he wouldn't do anyone's who didn't also do lawns in summer. That was disappointing but the new guy is good. Wish you could find someone with a shovel or a blower to help.
Wow I love the snow, we rarely get so much, but I also don't want it lol. When you say "The "official" amount was 5.9 inches (1.798 meters) recorded at the airport. " do you mean 14.9 centimeters? 1.798 meters is 5.9 FEET and that would be a scary amount of snow.
Sorry about the painful snow shoveling, but I am jealous you have way more snow than we have.
