A week of art: last Sunday

We began Sunday by working on a stamping lesson for ABC, the yahoo group we got acquainted on. We stamped on everything from copper to
vellum. I learned a lot about stamping from Theresa. She is a true stamper, like many ABers.

While looking thru my Seven Continents AB, she saw that I stamped images on polymer clay. For a long time, that was all I stamped in. I actually could produce a fairly decent image using a stamp in clay. As a result, Theresa wanted me to teach her how to do it.
So out came the pasta machine, my clay, my clay blade (which was too dull to work), razor blades (to replace the dull clay blade), and mica powders to act as a resist.

Theresa is cutting the image out directly on the index card that we'll later bake the clay on. I always do this, rather than having to lift the image and possibly distort it.
She's so engrossed in the clay, she is oblivious to the photos I'm snapping of her.
