T Stands For Bubbly Independence Day Breakfast

Some of you may have read in my previous post that there is now something wrong with my SD card or my card reader. Not sure which, but these are the only photos I have from our Independence Day celebration.  I was able to upload them right before lunch when I checked on Squiggles who was hiding in the office.  After that, I have no idea what happened.

It all started last Friday when my out-of-town friends started arriving.  I thought it looked like a used truck lot, but that was just me.  My out-of-town guests don't like their photos taken, and they don't like their names mentioned, either.   I respect that, even though they will never read my blog, especially since two of my friends don't even have the internet.  Out of deference (and a desire to keep my friends), I promised not to show faces or name names.

However, Saturday morning as I was setting up breakfast, it hit me that this would make a good T visual.

My friends don't understand my desire to take all these photos, and they are even more cynical when I try to tell them about T Stands For Tuesday.

Of course, I know you, my loyal friends, followers, and readers understand my need to have my camera in hand at all times.

It was about that time that two of my in-town friends showed up, so it was time to get this party started.  There were napkins and paper cups to unwrap, coffee to bring outside, bubbly to open, place mats to put on the tables (yes, I had two tables set up), candles to light, and food to bring outside.  Breakfast consisted of croissants, cheesy scrambled eggs, fresh tomatoes, cantaloup with fresh mint, and of course, the Sparkling Apple-Cranberry Juice.  Note the bottom line: contains no alcohol.  Yep, that's my kind of party.  Don't want anyone getting drunk, then setting off firecrackers, which were in abundance, I might add.

Now it's your turn to share your favorite drink, whether it's an Independence Day drink, a piece of art, a movie, photos, or a favorite spot that took you out and about.  Then please join us by linking below and please don't forget to link back to us, too.

Please don't forget our 2nd anniversary is in two weeks.  Hope you are planning to join in and maybe even make an ATC to pass on to your Pay-It-Forward partner.

Oh My! This sounds like you had fun! I hope you will give more details about your celebrations - I'm sure you can tell us without mentioning names!! I think I must try to link now as I keep getting an odd message and I am worried the scheduled post may not happen!! Hugs, Chrisx

It is ok that people don't understand, as long as they are good sports and leaves one alone. Some people are sensitive about the internet, I try to be considerate, like you. Looks like you are all having fun. I have always been sorry I missed the 4th of July celebrations when I was in Iowa, but I did experience so many other wonderful things!

Yum, that breakfast sounds delicious! Hope you had a great 4th of July. We went to the beach on Saturday and played silly board games at a friend's house on Sunday.

Sounds like you had a fun filled fourth :) How are Squiggles and Bluebeard doing, are they getting along better these days or are they still at a stalemate?

I too understand about respecting others wishes via photo sharing etc. which is why there aren't many faces in my pics:) Your photos and blog posts are much appreciated Elizabeth and it sounds like a wonderful celebration you had! Happy T day!

Sounds like you had a great time ♥ We didn't do a celebration this year... the youngest move back home over Friday and Saturday... and I worked ... then on Sunday we had friends over and his sister came over. My kids were both out of town so they didn't make it over. We had a good day though :)

sounds like you had a great day! and about the Blogging Thing... not all People will "get you" - but be sure there are enough followers, who do!! good you are respecting the "no faces" wish, i also try to avoid this and only do it seldom and with permission.

So they are security freaks like Mr G. *grin* No seriously...I understand. As you know I don't use my kids names or images on my blog either. There are times I really, really want to but I don't.
Sorry I missed 2nd on the second. Totally spaced it...was a busy week.
I have to go back and catch up on all the posts I missed!

Well not everyone will get us will they.
I do understand not wanting photos on the net.
I am very picky about the photos of me that I actually like.
Different strokes for different folks as the saying goes.
All that aside it looks and sounds like you had a great 4th.
Ours was low key again this year.
We are lucky that a nearby golf course gives a great show and we only have to walk out front to see it.
Happy T Day E!

Sounds like quite a nice party! I find that people who don't have internet at all are the most scared of it. And some people who do have it are a lot more afraid of having any kind of online presence than others are. I know people who won't show pictures of any children in the family for fear of online predators--or won't use their real names because they are terrified of identity theft. And yet others plaster every thing they do and every where they go on social media. You have to respect whatever people's choices are.
Happy T-Day! I made it!! :)

While we were out and about today it occurred to me what might be wrong with my blog...came home and found the issue. Have to remember to put closing tags when writing HTML code. :) If you don't...funky things happen.

I can appreciate what you said about friends and blogs and the internet. My husband won't even let me use his real name, but then again that's in part to the fact that he goes by so many variations of it. And if I do mention friends, I usually only use their initial. My kids don't mind though - they're young adults and pretty net savvy. It looks like you had a very nice time with your friends.

Sparkling cider is so good..we serve it all the time. Nice breakfast too! Firecrackers, thankfully it wasn't too bad here so the dogs were not totally freaked out. xox

Sounds as though you had a grand 4th of July Celebration this year, and what fun decorations.

I'll have to save my 4th photos for a later time since I have been loading my post with the GDs pictures.

Don't worry about our ATCs, we will swap with each other anyway for a keepsake of this summer. It is good practice for them to try different sizes of art.

Well, now I'm off to return some visits and drop in on a few others.....I LOVE Sparkling cider too!!
