Those of you who read my blog on a regular basis know about my camera woes. In fact, it was my dear friend Annette, all the way in Australia, who diagnosed my original problem with what I am currently calling my "old" camera. That prompted me to get out and install software for what I am currently calling my "new" camera. It is the one I used to take the photos below.
Originally I didn't see sandee's message she sent from the hills of North Carolina, her trademark and name of her blog. Before I read the message, my friend Sally and I took a trip to Sams (a members only club started by Sam Walton of WalMart fame), where I first asked about a memory card. As I suspected, they don't even make them anymore (SD, not HDSD).
So on that shopping trip, I looked around and saw a Nikon Cool Pix. I knew several people owned a Cool Pix, so I looked it over, or at least thought I did, and bought it. That's when I saw sandee's message to me. I sent her a nice thank you message, then declined the offer of the camera. But I don't want to get ahead of the story just yet. Later that night, I got to thinking about the size of the memory card. Luckily, I had not yet opened the hard bubble plastic it came in. Lucky me!! This Cool Pix didn't have a memory card. It posed the same problem as the one I have with my "new" camera. Granted, it probably took better photos, but it still needed the camera to be near my computer in case the batteries went dead, in which case, all photos would be lost forever.
Once again I e-mailed sandee, and she was so kind. She was still willing to send the camera. I explained what I had done, and how I was going to return the camera. Luckily, Sally still had the receipt, since she put it on her credit card, so she returned the camera, and I didn't even have to mess with it. On Friday morning, after watering my herbs, I found this in my mailbox. Not sure when it came, but I know I checked Wednesday morning, and it was not here then. I still haven't opened the box, because I need time to learn more about this camera without having to rush into things. Learning about a new camera can be tricky, or easy. I'm not sure which this will be. But I plan to wait until
I cut six metal posts left over from the chain link fence my neighbor removed after he put up his fence. This saw blade, made for my Skill Saw, was my main reason for visiting Lowes on Wednesday. I hope this saw blade will take out those metal posts like the nice man at Lowes promised it would. My lavender, seen in this post, was just an added bonus. Now you know why I haven't been around to visit much.
I hope your weekend is continuing to be fun and safe. I'm off to cut something other than paper. And a big huge gracious THANK YOU goes to sandee, too. Without her kindness, this post would probably never have happened, and my "new" camera would continue to give me fits.

So glad it all turned out well for you and you were able to return the camera you brought and accept Sandee's wonderful gift! We can't wait for you to start taking photos that aren't fuzzy!! LOL
The camera thing can be a pain especially since technology seems to change every minute. I'm sticking with my iphone since it's always with me, always charged and that's what takes my photos - for now anyway.

hope you are careful with that saw it's sometimes difficult to cut metal .... sounds like you are really having fun ...;-) ... know I would be like you that I would much rather be doing anything but yard work ... take care
Cameras can be very tricky...and sometimes have special software, device drivers and other !@#!$@# that make them a pain to use. Hopefully the end of your woes is nearing an end.
Not being able to post photos is a bummer - been there done that!!! Hope your new camera works out for you !! I am returning to blogland after a hiatus of several months! Drop by, if you get a chance!!!
Well, you won't lose the pictures even if the camera battery dies , which is a good thing. Looking forward to seeing how it works for you! :) waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥
all that techie stuff can sure be alot to deal with ... I know I hardly use many of the features on our cameras ... I just like to point and shot and take some closeups and zooms now and then
really excited for you to have a new camera ... getting clear sharp photos is very rewarding
