It's Friday and time for me to post my Inspiration Avenue challenge piece. This week Shel asked us to make or photograph a rainbow for our Inspiration Avenue challenge entry.
I'm having trouble coming up with art of any kind. It all alludes me, about as much as the comment boxes on some Blogger blogs. But one blog I went to the other day showed repetition as a way to make art, so I thought that might be a good starting place for rainbows. At first I was going to color each heart with a different color, then decided it wouldn't look like a rainbow if I did that. So here is what I came up with for the IA challenge this week.
And once again, I still cannot comment on quite a few of the blogs. Seems Blogger doesn't want to answer me, either, probably because I don't have a google account. So, please bear with me while I try to find out why this problem is happening to me and my blog. And unchecking the "stay signed in" box does NOT help me, no matter how many times I shut the computer down and restart. And the whole problem started (may be a coincidence) right after I upgraded to Firefox 4.0.

Rainbows...yours make me think of 6th grade when Rainbow shirts where the "must have" shirt for girls. I never got one but I survived. :)
I'm confused about the blogger commenting thing. I logged out and was able to have all the choices for leaving a comment on my blog. If you haven't dumped your cache or rebooted you should try...
Don't know. Those are always my "go-to" things to try when Windows messes up.
I love your bright and cheery raiinbow, Elizabeth.
To place a comment on your blog, when I was redirected to enter by Google information I unchecked the "stay signed in" box and it works.
Your rainbow is great - I hope the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is in your house :-)

I could use a rainbow today and yours are wonderful!
Looks good. Blogger is behaving for me at the moment (whisper)
I love the hearts you drew onto the rainbow. Very beautiful.
What a happy piece!
It would make a fabulous card!!!!!!
Hi - this is so bright and cheery..just lovely! Hope you get your art mojo and blogger blogging issues sorted soon...Esther xx
Beautiful rainbow Elizabeth.xx Just what I need to see right now :)
Thank you for your kind comments today. What a day! The motorbike belonged to our next door neighbour who had parked outside our house. We've found out today his insurance company is refusing to pay for any of our damages unless someone is caught & charged with arson :(
Think I need to do some art journaling!
Hope Mr Blogger will answer your questions soon. I am having the same problems leaving comments on some blogs.
Wishing you & Bleubeard a lovely weekend. Gez.xx
We all go through creative slumps every now and again, you are doing just the right thing in just painting and having fun. Such a cheerful looking piece too.
Hope you get your IT problems sorted out. So frustrating isn't it?
So sorry to hear that Blogger is still having hissy fits for you and hope the problem gets solved quickly. I know how difficult it can be to want to leave a comment and not be able to. Hopefully, this too shall pass -- and I'm sure that you feel it can't be fast enough! Love your repetition rainbow. Hope you have a happy, relaxing weekend! Hugs, Terri xoxox
I really like this colorful piece.
You are not alone in blogger issues - i am so sick of blogger -
yet... i cling...
A lot of us are having trouble leaving comments, Elizabeth. I'm having exactly the same problem as you. Blogger keeps prompting me to sign in under "Select profile" and as soon as I do, it just prompts me to sign in again. grrr. I wonder if blogger even knows there is a problem? Perhaps you and I should let them know, aye??
Anyway, the way to get round it is to click on the down arrow to the right of the "Comment as" box. From there, click on Name/URL and you just need to write your blogger name and cut and paste your blog url.
Hope that helps? Slow going though - esp. as you do the blog rounds.
Anyway, love the rainbow hearts. My 3 year old son has a current fascination with rainbows, so I have made your picture my wallpaper for the week. :-)
Hearts and rainbows- two of my favorite things! I agree, just keep painting, sewing, collaging- ANYTHING creative and you'll work your way out of the slump!
Your colourful and cheerful rainbow picture would brighten any day. And I like your swirly flourish on the hearts. I love to include swirls on most things I create & am maybe am a teensie bit obsessed with swirls and spirals. But there are worse things to be obsessed about. LOL.
Hope you get some luck with blogger soon.

Love you rainbow! I have yet to create anything for over a month. But maybe when July shows up, I will get my time back. Hugs
I Like the simplicity and the vibrancy of your happy artwork. I wish I knew how to help you with your blogger trouble...when I switched to google chrome all of my troubles went away♥♥♥
I think you hit it on the head. Perfect!
Lovely work. It'd make a great card.
I *heart* your rainbow! It's perfect!
Sorry you are having blogger troubles. Seems like there is a new problem with blogger quite regularly. Sounds like Debrina has figured out a work-around...
