Advent Calendar, Day Seven

I thought I would show this photo again, since some people were confused as to what the Advent calendar looked like. Since I decorate my home with trees each year, I made this calendar in the shape of a tree. The backing is mat board that I found in a dumpster. I had just enough of the board left after cutting off the parts that were bent or torn.

Day Seven features the jewelry box as a present, using a string of stickers.

Inside are some game pieces, including a car with children from the "Game of Life," what I originally thought was a bingo number, but now I'm not sure, and another game piece from a children's game.

I'll be back later today with for Tuesday Tea and my blog pick of the day.

Happy Seventh Day of December to you! these boxes are adorable and I love the contents of this one. I spent many hours playing The Game of Life with my siblings & friends. Now you can get a digital game that uses an electronic credit card to keep track of your money! I like the original little game pieces better...

Sorry I have been AWOL, my Mum arrived after a terrible journey from France, got stuck in Heathrow, overnighted and caught the next days flight, she is now here but exhausted from the trip, so I haven't been scrapping or blogging!!
Love today's little box of bits, will be back after breakfast to catch up properly!!

I have the Game of Life! It was a gift from Frederick, the american boy whose family did an exchange with the British Army. For two years we rode our bikes to school together and were really good friends. Wow, what a great memory your advent calendar provoked - thanks!
