Each tag started as a manila file folder that I colored using watercolors and shoe polish. I then laid down bits of a sheet of pink handmade paper, then a piece of gold wallpaper, and finally a piece of sheet music. This was not vintage, but was some my musician friend Joseph Peck (see sidebar) wrote. It is his handwriting you see. Everything in this project is recycled except for the watercolors. Now, when I need a tag, I will add a sentiment, like "Happy Birthday," "It's Your Day," "Thanks," or whatever, along with a matching ribbon or fiber, and a charm or beads.
I started reading a book on felt and felted projects and hope to finish it today. I have my flowers finished, but they are still not dry. The tutorial will be ready tomorrow, or possibly later today.

Today's blog is off the wall. I found this blog through a random search. I know nothing about this artist and have not even had a chance to find and check out his profile, although I suspect he is from Sweden, since some of his posts are in Swedish. However, in my attempt to feature more male artists, I give you painter and sculptor Max Magnus Norman and his totally unique art.

I LOVE the tags, and you've scared me with "blog allowable space" what the heck is that?
I too started worrying when I read about he "blog allowable space" Guess that means when I run out of allowable space for archives I'll have to start another blog somewhere else and reference? I hope not.
You continue to amaze me with your almost daily creations. You must spend the better part of the day in the studio. Good going!
Wow, your impress me with all that you do in a day!! And WHAT is blog allowable space?!!
Wow! You've got an awesome workspace, Elizabeth! Love the idea of having the tags ready to - a real timesaver when you need a quick gift. Hope you have a great weekend! Hugs, Terri xoxo
