Playing with gesso and ATC backgrounds

I had enough left over Solvent Ink and Alcohol background paper from making 4 X 4s that I was able to cut the final strip into ATC sized pieces. So, I decided to play with gesso and make some backgrounds I can use for Valentines or other themes.
Supplies clockwise from lower left:
Craft sheet to protect your work
Substrate (I used the leftover Ink and Alcohol strip cut into ATC size)
Gesso
Wet Wipes
Rubber stamp (I used one I borrowed from my friend Kathy)
Foam brush
Ink your stamp using gesso instead of ink or paint. Stamp immediately.
Using a wet wipe or paper towel, clean the gesso from the rubber right away before it can dry. Be sure to get into all the crevices because gesso has a tendency to fill the holes and once dry, could ruin your stamp.
I stamped two of the ATCsAdd Image and used the masking technique I used on the 4 X 4s on two of the ATCs. Now I need to find a focal image and probably an embellishment to finish these.

You always have such wonderfully detailed tutorials! The mask technique ones remind of of tie-dye. Awesome!

You've been a breath of fresh air. I need to get more "stuff" out and make happy messes and experiment more.
