Here are a few of the things she and we had to play with.
Dana (on left) and Kathy are talking about something, while I am taking a few photos before we start.
I tried to lighten this photo, but even Photoshop didn't help.
Here is a view from Kathy's outside door.
Kathy has begun reading some instructions she printed from the Tim Holtz blog.
This is from the other end. She put out a few of her stamps for us to choose from.
They caught me!!
I love Kathy's studio. It is so organized, has so much light, and lots of room.
The book in the forefront of this photo has UMs, as does another book out of view. Just a few more stamps Kathy had for us to choose from, if we wanted them.
They are starting the first technique, so I had better pay attention.
Just a couple more shots of what we have to work with, then I'll join them.
Have I mentioned the economy is in the toilet, but apparently not so at Kathy's.
Kathy and Dana looking at what Dana is going to work on
as she unpacks her goodies.
That space under the purple mat is where I'll be working. Something's got to go.
Yep, this is where I worked all day. I had a great view of all the goodies. Kathy even printed off a few images for us to use or take with us.
This was the first technique we tried. We pretty much copied the Tim Holtz tag. Dana's is on the left, mine in the middle, and Kathy's on the right. You can tell I'm not a stamper because you can't even read the word "postcard" on mine.
Kathy's second tag is on the left in the bottom row, Dana's is on the right. I worked on my Chinese New Year tip-ins as I learned this technique.
The clock on the wall behind Dana reads after 8:30 pm and we are in the process of helping Kathy pick things up a bit.
It was a beautiful and wondrous day, filled with Kathy's kindness and generosity, and loads of friendship.
As an aside, for those who follow my blog and have made it this far, I have officially broken my first New Year's resolution. It took over an hour just to upload this entry, due to my slow computer and graphics card.
Here are the finished tags that Dana and Kathy made and embellished. In this photo, Kathy's is on the upper left, Dana's in the middle, and I didn't even bother embellishing mine.

Dana and Kathy are looking at a few things that Kathy brought out for us to take home in case we wanted them. I will use mine in my Seven Continents swap AB that I plan to finish this year.

All I see is my big fat body. LOL.
I just started exercising and trying to watch what I eat.
Glad you enjoyed the day.

I'm so glad you broke your resolution to share these photos! What an awesome workspace!! I wish I had room to invite someone over for a playdate. Oh yeah...and someone close enough to take me up on the offer. :)
I'm with Kat. I look as awful as I felt, but wasn't it an awesome day? Kathy is an amazing artist and should be teaching workshops. I am not too proud of how my tags turned out, but learning the techniques will be invaluable in my work from now on.
OHHHH, what fun it looks like you had. I too wish I had a room like that and even more, someone who would enjoy playing as much as I do to invite over. Thanks for posting the pictures, I enjoyed seeing them. Geniega
