Art supplies for my trip

I prefer to ramble about life on my other blog (see side panel for link), but right now I'm packing to go to CA. I have no problem packing my clothes. I have so few that fit properly, it isn't hard to get them in a suitcase. The problem I do have is what to take art wise. It's hard to pack when you're an altered artist. You need so much: paint, glazes, gesso, brushes, color washes, glue, scissors, lots of embellishments, rubber stamps, ink, reinkers, baby wipes, oil pastels, paper, etc. I could go on and on, but why? We all know it is impossible to pack up even a small art case without forgetting something you want to take.

Since my new favorite product is oil pastels, I thought about taking them, BUT learned I can't take any form of turpentine on the plane, even in checked baggage. That eliminated the oil pastels. I don't want to take a bunch of paint, so I have decided to take only the following:

On the left is what will go in my checked bag. The right baggie will go with me on the plane.

The tin contains:
glue (white, sticks, E-6000)
Zig pens (set of 4)
Gold leafing pen
Back of my texture ATCs
Imperfection tip-in prototype
Coll-ah-ge AB (not shown and in a separate baggie)

The baggie contains
Scissors
glue sticks
unfinished projects (Imperfection tip-ins, Texture ATCs, one more set of Anniversary circles)

I will have to make due with what I find in CA as fodder for any art project I decide to create out there. I'll probably work on my Imperfection tip-ins and circles on the plane. So why am I taking glue sticks when I am such a NON fan of them? Well, because they are small enough to be under the 3 oz limit, something my white glue is not. I don't want to have to leave my white glue behind, so better to check it and use it when I get to CA when the stick-glued embellishments start popping off.

OK, I'm off to pack my supplies and finish the numerous projects still on my list that must be done before I leave.
